NIV, Giant Print Compact Bible, Leathersoft, Brown, Red Letter, Comfort Print

For a compact Bible, the print is pleasantly large. Just understand that with a larger print compact Bible, the Bible will be quite thick. That is unavoidable. But I really like the size of this Bible. The single column print is something I will need to get used to, but I know that this feature — which removes the need for added blank space — is part of the reason they are able to get such a large print in a compact Bible. The Bible itself is quite nice and seems to be of very good quality. The pages aren’t overly thin and the print ghosting is minimal. As with most gilded Bibles, you will have pages sticking in the corners. They are very easy to unstick. I find that shuffling through the pages in each direction, both top and bottom corners, somewhat helps to break that seal. I found some nice surprises at the end of this Bible, some of which I have shown in the photos. These additions are much appreciated and I will be using them a lot, I am sure. Overall, I am in love with this Bible and can’t wait to start using it today!

Im so Glad I purchased this bible for me its like reading poetry the way this bible is designed. I believe reading the bible is essential to your walk with God.. and understanding it or trying to is important. I love this Bible and now use it more than any other translation

Exactly what I wanted and the print is a great size, the leather is really nice and good quality.Am very happy with my purchase.The packaging did come with a slash on the side, that probably happened during delivery but the Bible is okay :)

Comfortable font for older eyes! No commentary or notes, just a great Bible for on the go

This Bible is simple. Just the text and the main/usual offering of NIV bibles. It does not have maps or study notes other than translation notes. The pages are typical of most standard Bibles. Pretty thin but not overly. I was able to add tabs and not be very concerned about rips or tears. I am not sure if you would line matched but the ghosting is not distracting since the lines are so uniform. I love the big text and single column format. It’s definitely not giant print. But for sure large. The red in the pictures is just about spot on to the red in person. It may be minutely lighter in person but nice and readable. It does indeed lay flat but is not floppy which is to be expected because of its size. It’s the typical size of a novel just super thick (think slightly smaller than a sheet of paper folded in half) I wanted an NIV Bible (my first one, I tend to use CSB and NLT) that was just the text to use for my reading plan apart from my Bible studies as I am currently finding the extra commentary and graphics a bit distracting. I also wanted a Bible in a readable translation to use as our family Bible.. the Bible that is kept out all the time.. the Bible we do life with. This is that. Simple, no extras. Just what I was looking for.

The way the pages are laid out and the size of the print make these bibles so easy to read. The book will lay flat no matter what page you open to. The soft leather like feel makes them comfortable to hold. I can just relax and fellowship with God in scripture. I have multiple copies so there's always one available in the different rooms of my home. And they are affordable - or at least they were when I bought them. Also, the NIV version needs less explanation (although I have a study bibles available also). The simplistic layout and easy to read print make the bible feel like "home" when I have one in my hand. A hand held book reader's dream.

Perfect for old eyes! Very easy to read. Only complaint (which unfortunately all Bibles seem to have) is pages are thin.
