I bought and installed one valve. With maybe a bit of skepticism. Looked too simple. But it worked! So I bought two more and installed them. I don’t understand how they do what they do so well, but so far, only a couple of weeks, they do a great job. And they are so simple to install. I’m happy.

I got tired of the old fill valve and all the trouble they have once they get a little old. Not to mention how long it takes to refill the tank. Anyway, I had replaced two of three a while back and liked this style much better. This was a new brand, but similar style of refilling. These are getting harder to find, so I bought two. Hooked up the new valve and it worked perfect. Fills in about 15 seconds and fairly quite. Not silent, but then again I don't have to wait a minute and a half. If you're looking for a good replacement, these are easy to install. I wouldn't buy the old style with the float ever again!

I ordered this fill valve for an older toilet with a tank that is just small enough to make the standard adjustable valves an inch too tall even at their shortest setting. Installation was very easy. However, I did have to reseat it twice and get the plastic nut just right to prevent leaks, but it has held the seal just fine since. The size is perfect as it sits on the bottom of the tank. I think it would work very well in any size of tank. The water level adjustment is very useful and the valve refills the tank swiftly. As some people have noted, there is a lingering whining sound in the valve for up to ten minutes following a flush. For me, the sound is fairly subtle and not a problem. I have been using the valve for over a week now with no issues. I am very pleased with the design and the function. If it lasts for a year, I intend to increase the rating.

Thirty years ago I installed three valves that looked like this. They were great! The fill level adjustment was extremely accurate yielding precise turns per inch of water level. It filled fast and shut off noise free. I thought I could avoid a trip to Home Depot so I ordered this at twice the price. It is a bad Chinese copy of the original "space age" design. The level adjustment is extremely crude jumping all over. The fill level once adjusted it not accurate. It screams when it opens the valve. It screams a lot when it tries to shut off. Home Depot had one that is at least different and possibly like the old USA valve I had before. I am debating if I want to replaced this piece of junk with the Home Depot version. I will feel much safer from having a leak. I don't know if the Home Depot valve is better but I know there is a design that looks like this that works great. I do not recommend this Chinese copy!

Who woulda' thought that I - a guy who never touches anything known as plumbing - could easily change out a toilet fill valve? I love this one because it's one piece, easy to adjust, and works seamlessly! While most toilets fill noisily, this valve fills quietly . . . and quickly! While a picture is worth a thousand words, a "whisper" from you toilet is worth a thousand pictures! Ha!

This style of toilet value is exceptionally simple to install and they last several times longer than the float values. I generally get over a decade on one of theses valves. There are several brands. I have used the Waxman for the past two replacements. Both of them were noisier than other brands. One of them became quite after a couple of weeks. The other has been noisy now for about a month and shows no indication of becoming quieter. I will continue to buy this style of toilet value but will not order the Waxman brand again.

Easy to install but when the water reaches the shut off level the device made a loud squealing sound for about 5-10 seconds.

I think this valve is an excellent purchase, a good option to replace the obsolete float valve, it takes up almost no space and is very easy to install, plus the price is very affordable, it was a great purchase, I recommend it.
