Oster BLSTPB-WGN-000 My Blend 250-Watt Blender, Green

About two months ago my wife purchased a competitors smoothie maker. My 18-year-old daughter uses it five out of seven days weekly. I have been on this ability for the last five years and really look forward to new and exciting things to break up my morning routine. So after about two weeks of having to share the smoothie maker with my daughter and wife. I did the only thing 50-year-old man can do. I researched, read reviews, cost considerations, and the most important features for me were, power (of course) ease of clean up, brand name reputation. I craved, my very own so I didn't have to share. (Jokingly) First thing that struck me right away was I didn't have to poor my smoothie, from the machine, to a glass, travel bottle, to consume it. My daughter can now endure, cleaning the machine, the blades, the drink container. Let's not forget it's not an exact science. Her end result is generally either, too much smoothie for her container, or not quite enough.My turn, My OSTER, My Blend, My Personal, Best Designed, SMOOTHIE Creator. Blender base is, compact, attractive, & very powerful. Perfect design implementation, to blend, & enjoy my smoothie, from the same 20 ounce travel container. I have yet to have the not quite enough nor have I had too much smoothie for my container. Also I have never had to search for a container to consume my smoothie from. I simply rinse blade base, Exchange the sports bottle top. I am all finished with my smoothie, with my Sport bottle container, nothing left to clean or put away.Meanwhile my daughter has to clean the two part plastic unit and the four blade system with the competition. And then try to find somewhere to store beast the beast.The Oster my blend personal smoothie maker what's 35% less than what my wife paid for hers. At the same time I purchased an extra sports bottle. On sale, it's still in the box I haven't even had occasion to use it yet. I also called the customer service 800-number searching for smoothie recipes and was informed about the 12 month warranty. My experience was excellent customer service personnel. I AM, very very pleased definitely recommend the family I would buy a second one in a heartbeat

I needed a small blender for travel and decided on this one because when I limited all my search options by Prime eligible, 4star or more customer ratings, and size, this is one of 5 items that came up and was the cutest and most minimal in design. (one result had 16 parts! No thank you)I have a Cuisinart full sized blender/food processor that I normally use for everyday. It's hard to clean, heavy, and my protein powder always sticks to the sides. I thought all good quality glass blenders had the same problem.I was a little worried about the powder sticking to this one too, and the upside down mixing design doesn't make it easy to scrape the insides with a spatula, but I decided it was the price I'd have to pay for the convenience of not lugging my full sized one. I am thrilled with the results. No powder stuck to the sides, despite the fact that the design made it necessary for the powder to be lumped together for a few seconds until I got the blades screwed on, bottle attached to the base and mixing started. It actually did a better job than my Cuisinart of breaking down the full size crescent ice cubes that I used.One reviewer complained about the lid not staying closed, and spilling liquid all over when the bottle fell, but Oster may have redesigned the lid because the closure is very tight, I could not flip it up one-handed. I had to hold the bottle with one hand and flip with my other, and it took some effort. I'm pretty sure that if this bottle falls over, it would have to fall pretty hard, in just the right spot for it to open.I unscrewed the blades, rinsed them easily and replaced the lid. It is so easy to clean. My shake was very frothy because I thought I had to mix it longer than usual so it was a little slow getting through the opening, but that's operator error. Even though this was my first time using the blender, I immediately shoved my Cuisinart to the back recesses of my cabinet and this Oster will be my new everyday blender as well as my travel blender.The bottle looks sturdy but I am regretting not buying an extra bottle just in case I leave this one somewhere or break it somehow. It can't hurt to throw an extra in your cart if you buy this blender. And it's so convenient that if I were making 2 shakes, I'd rather have 2 bottles and use this than use my full sized.Who knows? If this blender makes good chimichurri I may get rid of my old blender altogether!

It blends the ice and everything real good it makes it look like a slushie.
