Great brush! No pulling or tearing of hair.
I like this brush for my fine, thin, curly/wavy hair. It is gentle and glides through without snapping strands or pulling out hair. The bristles are not sharp, but are sturdy, and the handle is comfortable to grip. I ordered several other styles of brushes from this brand and I like all of them, but this smaller style best fits my hand and head (I am petite 5'2"). I no longer have scary amounts of hair falling to the floor or collecting in a brush every morning. Very pleased with all the brushes. I reach for this brush more often than the full-size paddle styles, but they are all good.

Great in dry and blow dry conditions, good with wet hair
Excellent for very thin, long hair.Barely ok for combing hair in the shower-the bristles are not as strong—hands or a thick tooth comb would be better in the shower. This brush is normally used while blow drying for the last 2 weeks and it seems durable with a hair dryer. It is sometimes used on dry hair and it is able to straighten frizzles and detangle. When hair is dry, you just have to be patient and start from the bottom. When hair is towel dried but still somewhat wet, it does a great job of combing through hair and detangling..Pulling out hair strands seems to be minimal in wet or dry conditions. It happens but i pick very little hair out of this brush compared to other brushes. The bristles are soft enough on the scalp. This one is a winner so far. Have used it for 3 weeks daily now.———————Edit: 3/22/2025I will now compare this denman brush to the $90 crown affair no.003 brush which is for very thin hair. Despite following the instructions on the The crown affair product website, the no. 003 brush does a TERRIBLE job detangling and straightening very, very thin hair. The no.003 bristles are too short, very soft, and too close together-as such, thin hair glides OVER rather than through the bristles and therefore does not grab fine hair (note i use a few strands at a time). In contrast, the denman brush can grab a handful of fine hair and requires less effort to detangle and straighten. This brush does provide some radiance (distribution of hair oil) and adds a little volume but not as much as the no.003 brush. I am NOT looking for radiance and volume, however.***** I really need an efficient brush to straighten and detangle hair and the denman brush does the job, whether dry, damp or using a blow dryer. The denman brush is cheaper and more effective than a $90 crown affair brush on very thin hair.*****

Small but Awesome
It was smaller and lighter than I expected but it's perfect for my teen son and works well on his 3B hair type. It detangles easily with minimal pain on sensitive scalps. Now I want one for myself. (2a)

Buy Direct!!!
I purchased this brush back in October 2020. This brush is AMAZING for type 4 hair. Especially when you use it with soaking wet and conditioned hair. It has really changed my wash day detangling method. I absolutely love it. However, the bristles started to come out one by one after about a month during use. I've learned that once they're out they will not stay in if you try to put it back in. Despite missing some bristles I felt like I could still use it. But with each use I would lose more and more bristles; even when I started using smaller sections in order to preserve the brush. Eventually, I saw that I would need a new one. But this time I decided to buy it direct from the Denman Company. I've been using the new brush for about 3 months and I have not lost one bristle yet. I also have been able to use bigger sections with no problem. There is definitely a difference in the quality! Save your money and BUY DIRECT!

Great medium size brush
Great for men’s hair, not huge paddle brush, not small curling brush, a great medium size. Works well with wet or dry hair, plastic tines are well spaced to get everything sorted out.

Easy on hair
My hair is extremely thick and curly. This brush went through it like butter on an ear of steaming corn. It also was easy on my granddaughter with her sensitive scalp. Good value and works well with long hair.

Good brush, but poor quality.
The media could not be loaded. I bought this brush based on the reviews. I wasn’t stoked about the price. I got it today and was excited to try it out. First off the box was a crushed mess, but the brush was fine. It worked okay on my long wavy thick hair. But, I immediately I noticed the pillow effect while I was brushing. It’s weird that it deflates while brushing, I see that’s why there is a hole in the middle of the paddle. What I didn’t like, is there is a gap that appears because of this deflation and my hair got caught in it and was pulled out. Normally this wouldn’t be a huge problem, but for a $30+ brush, not acceptable. As I continued to use the brush I noticed the bristles are kinda hard and irritated my sensitive scalp. I also wasn’t totally impressed with its detangle ability on snarled hair. After I got through the tangles with a bit of uncomfortable force, yes it’s a nice brush. I ended up returning it because I expected more from an expensive brush and it actually does hurt my scalp, so I feel like when I brush I have to avoid my scalp. In addition to the weird pillow effect, it makes it a weird combination of having to use pressure to get my hair through the bristles, but then having it basically scratch my scalp at the same time.
