I had never made vinegar before, but this worked! I added it to hard cider and ended up with a nice, fragrant apple cider vinegar. The documentation that came with this product was also very helpful.

Almost no visible mother, put in my cider & it became moldy, not vinegar.

Not what I was hoping it would be. This is for a small batch of vinegar. I needed a larger mother for a larger amount of Apple Cider to make into vinegar. It's probably good for someone wishing a smaller batch.

Can't wait for my hard cider to start making. :) my father used to make red wine vinegar on the hearth in a crock when I was young.

Good packaging, good quality vinegar. Chunk of mother is only about a tablespoon in size.

Not worth the price. No mother all liquid. There are better products in the market. Do not purchase this item.
