Alot of the reviews mention that this item is very flimsy is this true?

I assembled mine on my hospital bed, while sitting on the commode next to my bed. I was tossing pieces around on my bed to get to the pieces I needed, and had no damage to any piece. If it were that flimsy, it certainly would have broken a piece. It IS particle board, not hardwood, so I wouldn't load it too heavy, but it seems to be pretty sturdy so far. I'm waiting for my CNA's to put my cloth cubby bins on the shelves, so hopefully I won't have any problems there. I doubt I will. And like they said, put heavy items on the bottom shelf.

Yes, it is thin, so you have to be very careful what you put on the shelves. Load them with books and they will warp!

Can this be monted to a wall

You would have to use L brackets that you would buy separately and install from the sides for best result
