Purchased used because the book is imported and I wanted in time for granddaughters birthday. Amazon didn't list a delivery date so I took a chance and paid the extra delivery charge. The book is in excellent shape and arrived a couple days before expected. T.he BOOK is beautiful. Full of spectacular large color pictures and a wealth of information. It maybe a litter advanced for her age (7) but she'll grow into it.

Excellent book, terrible binding

My son LOVES this book and spends hours looking at it. I took off a star because the binding is TERRIBLE. this is our 2nd ntnl geographic book and they both completely fell apart. My son was especially careful with this one due to our experience with another book and the pages were coming out as he gently turned them. My husband took the time to rebind the entire book for him, but I'm disappointed for this to be happening in the first place...
