How thick (mm) is the sheet? Is it thin/flexible enough that it'd stay on something with curvature like a round table leg?

Hi, the thickness is like a piece of paper, certainly not measured in “mm”. While all of the product image samples (as well as reviews) show use on flat surfaces, I could see this being suitable for a cylinder shaped table leg that was the exact same diameter on both top and bottom.

What direction is the grain with the item that’s 118”x 17.7”, does it go with the length or the width of the material?

The grain is in the direction of the 118". I had water damage to the top of one of our bedroom cherry wood night stands. I put this over it and had glass tops made to fit. They look fully restored.

How does it deal with hot pots and pans?

It’s more for decoration. I wouldn’t put anything hot on it because it’s plastic

If i have the grainline vertical,will it be 17" in length?

i'm not sure. the dimensions are 78.7”x17.7”
