Only charging device available for small iPad
Have Apple Gen 8 iPad, but it had the 3 magnetic points. Charging port needed replacement, but, once screen is detached it’s susceptible to moisture. Order this item and iPad charges perfectly.

Saved me from buying a new iPad
The charging port on my iPad was only working part of the time. It either got dirty or a component broke. Apple told me they could not replace it because there are no individual components. Anyway, my choices were to live with a really bad charging port and try to fiddle with it, or buy a new iPad. Then I realized I could use a charging stand for my iPad PRO. It works great and better to spend $100 for this than $1000 or more for a new iPad. The only possible down side is that you have to be somewhat precise setting the iPad into the charger. It has to be centered and it kind of "clicks in". it is all magnetic, but things have to line up correctly. I highly recommend this product.

Stops charging iPads after a few months ("This accessory is not supported by this device")
This device does one thing: charge your iPad. And for me and many customers, it stops charging your iPad after a few months. Check out the other reviews - *lots* of people share this experience:This dock worked great when I first got it.After a few months, connecting the iPad occasionally prompted the message: "This accessory does not work with this device." Pulling the iPad off the dock and reconnecting it resolved the issue. After a few more months, it *usually* displayed this error. More frustrating, it started disconnecting during a charging session. I'd leave the iPad on the dock for a day or a week - and when I went to use it again, the iPad was drained or dead. These days, I can rarely get the dock to charge my iPad for more than a few minutes. It's dead and I will have to throw it away if Logitech doesn't replace it under a warranty.I am a huge Logitech fan; I must've bought a dozen Logitech mice over the years. But this product is just terrible, and is inconsistent with Logitech's typically solid build quality. Avoid.

Solid stand to use for home/base station
The stand is very sturdy, and it has a base that has a little bit of adhesive (not too sticky) but provides very solid contact between the stand and the surface. I like this feature as it doesn't shift/move around. The connection between the iPad and the stand for charging is weak (I wish it had a more of a magnetic functionality). The iPad sometimes doesn't register that it is connected to the charging port. I wish it was smoother, cleaner connection. At times, I have to slide the iPad around trying to get it to connect.

You can save a lot of money if your lightning port for charging is damaged.
Excellent product. We have several ipad pro 12 9 model A1652 at work bought from different suppliers. These units have a poorly designed lightning charge port and several of them (10%), had malfunction in our case. Hence, we were not able to charge the ipads! repairing them was quite expensive. However, this product saved us and the ipads are charging quite well. You save a lot of money in those cases with damaged ipad port. The charging process is somehow slower but it does work. If the ipad enters into sleep mode it does not work well, but those are minor issues comparing the utility it has when you have a damaged lightning port that does not allow you to use the ipad at all. The cheapest solution for that trouble that it is sort of common with the ipad pro 12 9.

Works for 9th gen charging
Best kept secret that this will actually charge your iPad slowly but changes it will. It’s tough and hold the iPad well.

Good idea, bad execution
I wanted to like this stand. The idea of a minimalist stand that uses the Smart Connector on the iPad Pro seemed a win win situation. The only trouble is that charging through the Smart Connector is slow or non existent. My main purpose for buying the stand was to have a stable base that kept the iPad at a good angle for viewing streaming video. Starting with a full charge, charging cable connected to the port at the back of the stand and the charging indicator showing a connected power source the iPad was 70% discharged in about 90 minutes of viewing. Turned the iPad off and completely powered it down over night while still connected to the Smart Connector (roughly 8 hours) and battery level was still only 50% when turned back on. I repeated the same sequence of actions with the exact same charger/cable combination, only this time connected the cable directly to the lightning connector on the iPad itself and close to 3 hours of streaming resulted in only 10% battery loss. Recharging from a 50% battery state took about an hour with the unit powered down. I'm not sure if the problem is the stand or the Smart Connector technology, but whichever it is it's a problem. The jury is still out if I'll keep the stand or not. It's a lot of $$ to spend for a charging stand that doesn't charge effectively.

It works as it should
It is slow at charging but it does the job. Unfortunately, the Ipad I need it is an older generation. Before buying make sure you have the correct table with the 3 dots on a side.
