No, they are not a chalk pastel. The leads in these pencils are wax-based like those in our Premium Colored Pencil Sets.

Are these colors included in the regular 72 and 120 sets, or are they completely new sets of 48 colors?

The colors in the Pasteltint set are entirely new, and are not duplicated in our regular 72 or 120 colored pencil sets.

Can you use blending spirits with these pencils?

Yes - and you can also use baby oil, Zest-it and other easy-to-find blending agents.

Are Pasteltint pencils permanent? Can I use them on a blackboard for example?

These pencils do not have chalk cores, they are wax-based. They would not be appropriate for a blackboard/chalkboard. However the beautiful pastel colors will work brilliantly on black cover board or black paper.

Where are these pasteltint pencils produced?
