Unit has a little drip but it works wonderfully with our waterpik handheld. Reduced the chlorine smell and has made our water less abrasive. The charcoal from the filter rinsed right down the drain. Good price point and I'll totally buy again!

I was skeptical after returning the SF400 HD Revitalizing model. My water actually feels physically softer falling on me. My hair and skin don't feel squeaky-dry after rinsing, and my shampoo lathered like crazy (which is weird because, normally, lather=dryness.) Last night was my first shower with the new filter so I'll update this review on the health benefits over time. For now, I can say that the water feels much more gentle compared to the SF400, and noticeably different than without a filter.Opening the device is much easier than the SF400 (neither I nor my very strong husband could open it.) Installing the SF500 was a cinch for him. There are no leaks so far. We didn't have to do anything extra, like lubricating the gasket. We just used the plumbers tape on both ends (2 wraps,) and followed the instructions. We made sure not to over-tighten the connections as well.We have high ceilings and a long, mounting-arm that holds our heavy, double-headed shower 3 feet away from the wall. For this reason, we have the filter installed behind the extension-arm instead of the shower head, to take weight off the arm. We felt that the filter would make the entire setup too heavy to hang for long. Opening the device for maintenance every month won't be fun, but that's on my husband who installed it there. Ha Ha.The shower head also has a stop-valve on it. The instructions say to install the filter in between the valve and the shower but there was no way to do that when my valve, like most, is attached to the shower. I am worried about the water pressure on the filter when the valve is turned off so I'll update again if it cracks. I don't use the valve a lot so I hope it will be OK.Overall I am very pleased, and have high hopes of treating our various skin and hair problems with better water.

My skin feels wonderful and it’s only been 3 days since I’ve installed it. It it kind of heavy but very easy to install. If you’re from Cali, you know the water is absolutely trash so this was much needed. I don’t regret my purchase…yet lol.

When I first installed it there was no effect on water quality, would test it, no difference. After a week, we test it (on warm water) and it clearly works. So happy we got it. Reduced the chlorine immensely.

Nice appearance and easy installation...Teflon tape was included.
