Great, as always, from Kershaw.
Super light in my hand, quality construction, appreciate the slight, additional grip from the carbon fiber. Overall, great knife and I’m happy to have it.

Very well made, easy to use, and a beaut
I decided to replace my old Swiss army knife because I never found the blades easy to use. In practice, that knife became mainly a screwdriver, a sad comedown for a knife. Anyway, I spent a couple of hours looking at online reviews of knives for everyday carry (or EDC as the aficionados say). Knives have become a cult, like smartphones and cameras! I went with the Kershaw Leek 1660CF because it seemed well-engineered, straightforward, and attractive. Once I had it in hand, I was impressed by the quality. I was able to flick it open the first time I tried, and I don't have strong hands (being in my 70s). I like almost everything about it: the light weight, the type of steel, the stonewashed finish, the liner lock, the tip lock, the lanyard holes, and the look and feel of the carbon fiber casing. I didn't like the pocket clip, which I found too tight and also a bit uncomfortable when holding the knife — so I removed it. Kershaw provides a limited lifetime warranty and also free lifetime sharpening. Highly recommended!

This is real carbon fiber with a little bit of texturing which adds more grip and makes the leek less sleek
Great knife, it has a slim profile and it virtually disappears in the pocket. The carbon fiber is gorgeous, it looks and feels great. It also adds a bit more grip and I find this version of the leek to have a secure grip in my hand. The action is smooth and one handed operation is definitely possible. I also really liked the clip, it is very sturdy and assures that the knife will not pop open in my pocket so I am not afraid to not use the safety. The blade itself has very comfortable shape, it's almost a wharncliffe so it is excellent at cutting boxes, paper and stuff like this. This knife is definitely not designed for heavy use, but it is not fragile either, I am not afraid to break the tip, which is almost a needle point by the way, maybe it has something to do with the CPM-154 steel but it's a great thing anyway. I'd definitely pick this version of the leek against any others, the carbon fiber is absolute tops and the steel is a great addition too.

Sleek and and nice
Needed something small to fit perfect in my pocket and this is perfect. It’s not baulky at all and blends in perfect in my pocket. The blade is perfect and it is very lightweight.

LOYAL KERSHAW CUSTOMER OF MORE THAN 25yrs
Ken Onion is a very close personal friend of mine and I've gotten most of his Kershaw production models including the Boa, Random Task, Spec Bump, Chive, Scallion, Blur, Needs Work, several Leeks, Splinter and even one of his Vault Lock - Whispers (49/250). All but one of the Leeks I've had previously were given away as gifts. Being left with just the 24kt gold plated version which has been strictly a collector piece for me, I've really wanted one of these Carbon Fiber CPM154s for a while now. I'm sort of a knife collector and there have been quite a few other good blades that I've bought since the release of the CF Leek, not because the other knives are necessarily better, but moreso because they were newer and a lot of times, a heftier blade. My newest acquisition was Ken's CRKT Foresight - truly a very impressive knife. I do have other well known branded knives, but totally support my friend's endeavors so I plan to eventually get other CRKT models like Ken's Homefront and Helical. You might want to check those out too if only to see other options. Back to the Leek though, I finally bit the bullet on this one because I know that soon one would probably be hard-pressed to find any Leeks available. Many of the older Kershaw models are nearly impossible to find anymore. The Kershaw / Ken Onion's Boas and Leeks are truly bench markers in the knife world that revolutionized folding knives forever. I won't rehash what has already been said by positive reviews, except to say that if you found your way here, maybe you're curious or even thinking about getting a Leek. IMO, this is the King of Leeks. Don't hesitate, buy it before it's not available. You will NOT regret it. My CF Leek arrived in a record time of just four days and I live in Hawai'i. Wow! The negative reviews left by other customers had me just a little apprehensive, but with Amazon's return policy, I wasn't too concerned. My 1660CF arrived in perfect condition and razor sharp fresh out of the genuine Kershaw box. The Leek I received has Perfect Zero Tolerances, the blade is perfectly centered in it's closed and opened position and the assisted opening mechanism / torsion bar are also perfect. It's absolutely as I expected and I've bought a lot of Kershaws through the years. This will be my EDC fidigting / cutting tool for many years to come.Side Note: for those who don't already know this - there is no need for a Hard wrist flick with this assisted opener. That may speed up opening the knife by a mere couple of nano seconds but may break the torsion bar if the "flick" is wrecklessly too hard. Let this knife do the work for you - it doesn't need much maintenance besides the occasional cleaning and honing. And don't use it to pry anything - find a screw driver or prybar for heaven's sake, LOL! Unless you're carrying a beefy field knife, all other knives are strictly for cutting. A little common sense will ensure a long life with this gem.

Light & Elegant
The assembly and finish on this knife are perfect! The Carbon-fiber is awesome.I'll adjust with use, but the spring feels just a little tight, making it a bit uncomfortable during open when using the Thumb Stud. Given the narrow blade and the tight spring, opening the blade with the Thumb Stud brings my thumb close to the edge of the blade if I'm not mindful.Happily, opening with "The Flipper" at the rear of the handle is the joy of this knife. When closing the blade one-handed using the "Frame Lock" release , placing my thumb in front of the blade, has me a bit nervous, but as with other Kershaw's of this type, the blade motion stiffens at 90 degrees toward close to compensate for my potential stupidity. This is a BEAUTIFULLY crafted knife, and I love it's light weight. So... not a knife for your grandkid, but definitely one for you if you'd like an everyday with superb finish & light weight.

Light sharp reliable fast knife. Do it. You won't regret it.
I orginally bought the blackwash version. Had that for about 2 years. Lost it but i was so in love with the leek that i decided to shell out for the upgrade carbon fiber version. I am glad that i did because this knife is still sharp. My purchase date was 7/26/19. My other blackwash leek held it's edge but dulled over time. This one hasn't. The carbon fiber is also still flawless. The clip shows more wear and tear then the blade and handle.I bought another one just incase i misplace it. If you look at the picture they both still look new besides the clip on my everyday carry.Awesome knife! Love leek so much i bought them as gifts for my coworkers. Different colors of course!
