How do they hold up in sunlight?

The box I installed was inside a trailer. 80% sure the plastic looks like Polyethelyne which is resistant to sunlight. Common plastic on quads and side by sides. I live in the AZ desert. If I suspect a plastic won't hold up, I paint it!

I need to replace the sealing gasket on one of your boxes. Can you give me a source for that soft elastic seal cord?
