The Leviton 5374-S00 50 Amp Flush Mounting Receptacle has been a fantastic addition to my workshop setup. I used it to replace an old, worn-out receptacle, and the improvement was immediately noticeable.One of the highlights for me was the sturdy construction. Leviton is probably the best known and brands for this type of electrical device. Personally I will always use Leviton or Hubbel or one of the other well known brands - "no-name" should never be an option in electrical work. These tend to be very pricey at electrical supply houses but here on Amazon you get the top quality receptacles for a very good price.

Replaced a different 250v outlet with this one to use with a small stick welder. Installation took about 5 minutes in a standard 2 gang wall mounted box. I bought a trim plate for it at a local hardware store, but you can also get the plate on Amazon, depending on the type of box you install it into.Quality is great, should last forever in my garage.

This here plug is rated for 50 amps which i plugged my PrimeWeld 225x in, maxed it out (rated 50 amps in, 225 amps out.) no issues, no breakers tripped or shortage of voltage or amps thanks to the all brass fittings. I purchased 2 of these and the recommended cover, one installed and the other for a spare should i ever need a replacement or a second 220v outlet in my workshop.

I had my doubts about quality at this price, but it seems to be quite solid! Easy to wire in and looks good. I’m going to plug in a semi-permanent EVSE and I have no doubt this will hold up.

Paid a couple of bucks more for a brand I recognize and glad I did. Simple and robust connections and it came with the four screws that are always buggered up from an "electrician" in too much of a hurry.
