Q: Can this wine fridge be put inside a cabinet?

I would not recommend that. All wine coolers require space around them for dissipating the heat they remove from the wine.

Q: What is the width of the shelves? We drink a lot of champagne and are worried we wont be able to fit two bottles per shelf.

Generally this wine cooler does better with narrow bottles, even regular wine bottles, so that might be an issue.

Q: Does it have an interior light?

Yes, it has an interior LED light on each side that is turned on manually from a button on the front control panel. You can use the light and not have to open the doors.

Q: can you store a bottle that is 13 inches long?

12 1/2 will definately fit. 13 might be tight
