Cheap easy fix
Fairly easy to replace. Dishwasher has been working fine for 1 month since replacement. Symptoms were inlet water coming through even when machine was off causing slow flooding. Water had to be manually shut off at the inlet. The solenoid controlling water inlet wasn't closing correctly allowing water to constantly come through.

Catastrophic water leakage after 4 months
The inlet valve arrived on time, was installed approximately April 11, and did fix the previous problem -- insufficient water level in the dishwasher. All went well for 4 months of normal use (about 2-3 times/week) until late night of August 25. We went to bed after turning on the dishwasher with a normal load. When one of us returned to the kitchen about 90 minutes later, she found the kitchen and the adjacent laundry flooded with hot water.Stopping the dishwasher and turning off its power did nothing: water continued overflowing the dishwasher insides and seeping from under it.Only shutting off the hot water supply valve under the kitchen sink stopped the flood. We went to bed after a few hours of cleanup. The next day, I found the culprit: the inlet valve had split open, allowing both water to inundate the floor, as well as causing the solenoid valve plunger to fail making a positive seal, thus continuing to flood the dishwasher insides.I am attaching a picture of the subject valve on the right with the split visible, with its OEM replacement that I purchased at a higher price. You get what you pay for.

Bosch dishwasher working again!
Simple remove and replace for my Bosch dishwasher inlet valve. The dishwasher was not filling sufficiently with water and as a result, the dishes were not getting washed and the soap was not dissolving properly. Since replacement, it has run daily for a week straight without any problems at all.
