Lucky Beast
I am relatively new to the sport, so I'm no expert on discs, but so far the Beast is the best disc I've thrown for distance shots.I purchased this disc in a heavy 175g. Typically, they recommend newer players use lighter discs until they learn better form and are able to throw the disc at its necessary "speed" in order for it to behave as it should. I am not very big or muscular, so I can't really throw this disc with the force necessary for it to really be effective. That's my own fault, not the disc. However, the purchase of this disc was very fortuitous for me as I often play in windy conditions, on many holes I am throwing in a steady side wind, which blows all my other discs off course. Having this disc in a heavier weight helps it cut through the wind very nicely, as well as mowing through some low lying branches and leaves. Normally I throw right hand, back hand (RHBH) but on those longer drives with wind I will reach for the Beast and side arm it. This technique has gotten me much better results than other discs. For the record, my other drivers are an Innova Archangel (150g), which is super consistent for me in windless, straight drives, and an Innova Valkrie (150g).

Best disc for middle to distance driver.
The color of the disc is actually pink, not red as pictured. I'm 6'1" and 58 and stopped throwing discs over 27 years ago. Last July I began to do this again. I have bought six other discs either locally or on eBay. This disc, however, is for beginners and intermediate disc golf participants. I cannot tell you how stable this disc is in a light to no wind situation. If you need to toss this on a hole between 200 to 300 feet this is the disc to throw. It hovers better than most other discs out there. Innova has really done their homework when they made the shape and the material density combined in this disc. Get it and thank me later. Look up Yello River park in Porterdale Georgia. That is the park I throw at least twice to three times a week. Lots of trees after hole number four between the Tee and the baskets.

A great flip up to flat disc
This is a bomber disc. I love how much distance I can get out of it. Great for anhyzers and hyzer flips. Great disc

Great profile, DC plastic not very hardy
I love the way this disc flies. It is easy to use for a fairly “beginner” level player, however, the plastic dings very easily. I damaged the edge on the first day. It still flies fine for my level of play, but someone with more throwing speed might see an impact on flight accuracy. I will be looking for a Star Beast.

Great flyer.
I'm new to frolf myself and bought a beginner set of 3 diskcraft discs. I'm a decent sized guy with a good baseball arm, but after our first outing I was feeling quite wimpy. I'd see these guys whip discs 300 feet with ease while i was on a good throw getting 200-250 with my diskcraft set. All day long I was struggling and wondering what type of discs they had. I finally asked when we bumped into some guys on the same tee. They pointed me to this disc as being the best all round driver disc for a beginner. So I tried it. I ordered a 168 gram disc but Amazon screwed up and sent me the 175 gram disc. I decided to try it regardless and have to say I'm very impressed. After a few throws I was chucking it 300 feet with little effort. It was very stable and flew very nice. I have yet to get back to the course but I'm guessing this will help my game dramatically.

Overall good for beginner
This disc has become my goto for backhand throws off the pad. I am a beginner with less than 4 months of play.

A novice will really do well with this
I just started disc golf 2 weeks ago. This is a really cool activity since I have several good courses nearby that are free (and I'm cheap!). I started out with regular frisbee's and did at least double par on every hole. I bought an Innova beginners set for $39 including a driver, fairway and putter, my scores got much better with 1-3 over par on every hole. I just received this disc and it goes further and straighter than the beginner driver that curved left for me. I'm a novice and know little about this game, but I definitely recommend this disc!
