Outstanding performance š
This pump is amazing. As a mum to preemie twins, and a 4 year old, this pump has more than delivered. I can trust it empties me properly, every time, in about 10 minutes. Not the standard 20 mins. Coming up to 5 months use now and my twins are still fully on breastmilk thanks to the Spectra 2, and also bath in breast milk in bath water! (Great for eczema & cradle cap.) Even if hand expressing seems like there's no milk, this pump will more than get some out, can be edging on 300mls per time! I have a cheaper battery pump and a wearable pump too that have their place, great for emergencies or when out and about but I always return to my trusty Spectra 2. Overuse of the other ones can block a milk duct now and then I find, when they don't fully empty me. Never an issue with the Spectra 2. Honestly, with my 4 year old I went with a cheaper pump, I wish I had this one then, there would have been no fear about not having enough milk supply. This time around I began pumping every 2 hours in the day and 3 hours at night for the first 2 weeks, now I just do every 3 - 4 hours and before I go to bed and first thing in the morning now my twins sleep through. Highly recommend. It's totally worth it. ā¤ļø

It's great!
I don't know how I would have survived breastfeeding without it.... I definitely would have quit if I didn't have this pump. Had mastitis a few times and it was terrible. It helped me a lot when I had to feed the baby but couldn't touch my breasts. Now my baby is 7 months old and I pump every morning to make a porridge for her :)The bottles are nice but for some reason the teats started leaking quite soon, even though I rarely bottle fed my baby. So idk why.Thank you, Spectra. Your pump is a life saver ā„

Brilliant pump with odd ādrawbacksā
I would recommend for any mother, if youāre wanting something quiet but still good for getting every last drop of milk I think the Spectra is brilliant. I wish I had bought this first, Iāve previously bought the MAM 2-in-1 breast pump and I wouldnāt recommend that it stopped working after a month. I did look up recommended pump sessions but theyāre not difficult to follow. It is a hands on electric pump so if youāre not into that then I wouldnāt recommend. For the price difference between the S2 and S1 for basically only portability it wasnāt worth it for me, but if that is important for you I would recommend the S1 instead. You do have to buy different size flanges which I did find odd given the pricing, so I see how that would be off putting for others too. I am smaller than 24mm so I had to but more from the Spectra website. The light in the handle is very handy. I spent Ā£118 for this pump with the baby wish list discount, and if you have the money I think this pump is worth every penny.

Horrible Pump
I'll start with the things I like -*Nightlight*Cord length is decentThings I hate -*It came with a 28mm wide mouth pump, if you order to America, you will get the 28mm and the 24mm, but for some reason we only get the 28mm here in the UK which is way too big*You don't get any flange inserts and the plastic pump hurts*Its made of extremely cheap plastic that doesn't feel good against the skin*After spending so much money on this pump, you will still need to shop elsewhere to get flange inserts which cost anything from £16 to £22 and you will also have to purchase the 24mm wide mouth pump parts for around £22 to £25 because there are no flange inserts for the standard 28mm shield that it comes with..*If you use the 28mm shield on its own, it's going to damage your nipples, aerolas, skin badly as it sucks the nipple, aerola and skin inside with each pump, a piece of my skin came off!If I'm spending £150 on a pump, I expect it to come with everything I need and work well, this pump is a joke! I now either have to spend another £50 for parts before I can use it, or go through the hassle of getting the newborn baby ready, dragging the pram down two flights of stairs and walking for 1 hour to return it :/

Good machine but could be better
Great machine, it was actually recommended by the infant feeding team at my local hospital and I would say that itās really good for suction and makes pumping a lot easier than manual pumping. However, a few things to note before buying;- The S2 is not portable, it needs to be plugged in to work whereas the S1 is portable and you can move around with it - not the biggest of deals but would have been useful to know because sometimes it is long plugging in etc.- It comes with size 28mm flanges, the standard size is 24mm, and my size is smaller, so I had to order extra flanges- you have to wash the parts and bottles after every use, which can be time consuming and parts are recommended to be replaced often- so it is a continuous investment especially if you are only planning to use this until your breast milk supply is establishedI feel like I could have gone with a cheaper machine for potentially the same results as there are others on the market that arenāt particularly āhospital gradeā but still get the job done
