Brilliant snare head
Best snare head ever had. I use it for my acrylic snare, tried a few other ones, but this one sounds like it was made for acrylic. Loud, easy to tune, controlled and most importantly, so durable, it still going strong, although I had it for almost a year, and still sounds amazing, not planning to change it. Never had a snare head lasting so long!!!

Amazingly Durable and Great Sounding
I've used Evans EC2 heads on my snares for a few years now and they have never ever let me down. Durable as f***, i've never managed to put a single pit in any i've had.I hear a lot of drummers say they'll only ever use single ply skins on their snare drums, which is fine if you're playing Jazz or funk with lots of intricate stick/brush work but you simply cannot beat this head for rock. It's the perfect balance of sound quality and durability - I think only the Remo Emperor X or similar ridiculously thick heads can out last them.Evans have also improved them recently with the new "Level 360" edge design which makes them sit on the bearing edge better and makes tuning a bit easier. I use a DW Edge Collector's 14x7" as my main snare and this skin coupled with S-Hoops makes it absolutely sing. It doesn't even need any tape or moon gel dampening, it's a dream to play.

Brilliant Snare skin...Buy it!
As a gigging drummer for more years than I'd care to mention, Iv'e tried most of the skins available. For the last 5 years I've been using Evans regular snare skins and loved their tone and strength. However I've always had to tape them to dampen the tone and echo. So this time I ordered the pre-damped 2 ply skin at the amazing price of £14.00!Upon arrival I had it on my snare drum within 20 minutes, tuned and ready to go...I was soooo tempted to get my tape out but resisted the temptation... and you know what? This skin is absolutely brilliant, with a beautiful deep powerful rock sound, excellent sound control and feels very responsive and durable.I was gigging with it within 2 days and it has already been played in 4 rehearsals and 2 gigs...Absolute bargain and worth 3 times the price...Well done Evans!

Warm rich sound
I put this skin on my cheap snare drum and was surprised at the sound it produced! Not too ringy, but more of a dry damper sound! Great for a no fuss tuning process.

Not may favourite brand, but seems good.
I needed a new snare skin quickly between gigs and these came highly recommended to me from my drumming pals. The skin is good quality with a lot of thought and tech gone into it's construction. It just doesn't quite have my preferred sound or volume for my style. But I do rate it.

Reverse dot.
I've been using the Evans reverse dot 14" for a few years now as it gives me the sound I want on my Pearl free floating brass snare drum.Had a problem with the head when it arrived so I got in touch with the seller who sent me a replacement. Will use them again.Recommend.

Evans create some really awesome stuff and this doesn’t miss the mark. Built in tone deadener and a dot for ultimate durability and tone. A must get.
