Does tbe light have a separate switch for turning on/off tbe light?

Yes there is definitely a separate on/off switch. I'm not sure why others report there's not. I have 6 of these and every one has a power button. (I use several of them in dark venue craft shows to spotlight my work. If I had to remove batteries or unplug every time I wanted to turn off the lamp I would never buy it) The button is located on the front of the clamp underneath the Daffodil logo. There are 3 different brightness settings, just press the button once for low...twice for medium...three times for bright. The fourth time you hit the button the lamp powers off. Easy peasy. I keep one plugged in to my computer at all times (note that I've been using the same lamp for 3 years and it's still going!). I never have to unplug it to switch it off. The computer does have to be powered on, though....in order to power the lamp. Hope this clears things up :)

What is the wattage use

Input 100-240V 200mA 50-60Hz. Output 1.5V 1.0A almost the same as any Smartphone, you can use the USB charger of any Smartphone.
