As always Ontario delivers
This Ontario RTAK II is a huge knife. The handle is very large but comfortable for me. Anyone with small hands, this might not be for you. The fit and finish is what you'd expect from Ontario. It is a big chopper. The sheath is ambidextrous and has a nice plastic sleeve to protect from cutting the sheath. I did have to adjust the top snap loop length to make it fit around the handle. Mine will need sharpening out of the box. IMO, it is a solid value for the money. The ESEE Junglas is most similar in size and shape and is a knife. However the Ontario comes in at well less than half the price of a Junglas.

RTAK II Knife
This knife has around 10 inch blade that's sturdy and sharp that's good for camping, hacking down brush or weeds! It's just a all around good woods knife that won't let you down!

Good bang for your buck
I did not receive the knife pictured, nor the sheath that you see most online. After contacting OKC and sending detailed pics of both the knife and sheath I received, they confirmed it is a legit OKC knife that carries their warranty for craftsmanship. The logos did change and most of this could be avoided if the pic in the listing was updated. The quality of the knife itself is great, the blade was very rough and the edge was not as sharp as I expected. After speaking to OKC I removed the handle scales and with a light wire wheel smoothed the entire knife down. The appearance is exactly the same and the edge is much better, without any added sharpening whatsoever. The sheath that came with it does not have the pouch like most you see online, which made no difference to me and this one is actually much slimmer and easier to attach to a bag or transport. Overall the knife functions as expected. Hope this helps for those on the fence about purchasing one.Updating this because after getting tired of the finish I found this when I began to remove it. That’s the original logo and the only thing I can come up with is they had already marked blades after the logo change so they simply coated over it. Only a guess but even with not being polished up it’s more appealing. That original finish is probably weather resilient but it seems like it hangs up when chopping

Build quality great on my example, low cost...even better.
Build quality great on the one I received, edge symetrical...cut paper out of the box with ease...wasn't razor sharp...but very well done.Feels great in hand. For a sub 100 dollar knife, it is very nice...and if you didn't know how much it cost...you would think it cost more.

My absolute favorite large survival knife!
This is big, sharp, and built heavy. The sheath seems a bit flimsy and I'd recommend making a custom kydex sheath for this bad boy.

I got the 4:59 PM RTAK II
While Ontario knives are my go to blade This RTAK II had some major issues with the grind.I kinda wondered if this is a real Ontario knife because I've never gotten a blade from them that was in such bad shape. The handle slabs also had a very poor fit and the coating on the blade had chips out of it where the metal is exposed.I just about sent it back but I really needed a large knife that is reliable so I decided to keep it and fix the problems that I could myself. If this is a counterfeit product it will show while it's being put to heavy use.Over all I'm not real happy with this product and really can't recommend it to anyone. I gave it 3 stars because it is a cool knife just abit on the trashed side .Another thing I noticed is my knife does not have the triangle design on the blade,It kinda looks like the blade another seller has now for over $200 which this knife is definitely NOT WORTH.If someone is selling counterfeit products here that is wrong. Some people including myself put their trust & loyalty in a brand name only to be let down by receiving a POS fake and giving a good company a bad name isn't right so please stop if you are doing this.

Fantastic woods blade.
This is my absolute favorite woods blade. My Rtak comes with me on every camping, hunting or outdoor adventure trip. This blade is the perfect lightweight tool for fire making tasks. Such as splitting logs and making kinling. It's carbon steel blade is tough enough to baton through up to a 12 inch log with ease, as well as being precise enough for the finer work. I pair this knife up with a folding bow saw for wood processing. Having the saw to do all the cross cutting, and the Rtak 2 for splitting it makes a very effective fire kit. I have hard used this blade on countless multi day trips for going on 5yrs now. During that time it has been holding up strong and serving me well. If your looking for a quality large fixed blade outdoor knife look no further this is a 5 star knife.
