This smell really delicious

The product delivers on its name, as it's truly matched with deep tones and notes of leather, vetiver, and pine. A darker fragrance for a more sophisticated individual. Though the smell is quite rich, the longevity of the scent is lacking.

For the size of the bottle you think you'd be paying nearly half of what the cost of this item was. Won't buy again unless there's a sale or price cut.

I have used the hand wash as well as the bath and shower gel.I have read some of the reviews that talk about this not being a good value--that there are other products out there that you can buy for less money--that the other products smell the same.I can't speak about whether other products smell the same. That may or may not be true, but it doesn't matter.One could easily argue that there are less expensive options. That is certainly true. In my estimation, these soaps are a luxury product, but that also isn't the point.The great thing about these soaps is not only how great they smell, but how long they last. This morning, for example, I used the Russian Leather body wash. It's now 6:30pm. My arm still smells nice. Sure, the scent isn't as strong after a full day, but if my skin still smells good after an entire day, THAT is the point. That speaks of value.The other thing I will say about the value proposition here is that in my experience, the other great thing about these soaps is that you don't need a lot in order to smell good. I believe a little goes a long way. It lathers great and I use less soap than I have with other products.Both the longevity of the fragrance and the amount of soap that you have to use make these soaps entirely worth it. Yes, they are more expensive than others. But, to me, the the value for the money is absolutely there.

This product used to be called "Russian Leather" but seeing as things changed in the world it's now "Dark Leather", though I am guessing the soap is the exact same. The lather is nice. The amount of soap you actually get is a bit...lackluster. The scent, which is probably the only reason why you would buy this over really any other soap, is just ok, which is not ok for this type of product. I would describe the scent as "artisan" because it gives you a pretty intense and long lasting scent that doesn't smell super synthetic. However, this is certainly no Chanel or Dior in the sense that the scent profile is meticulously balanced and thought out. Unfortunately, the leather note smells more like suede (and NOT like rich creamy leather) which is possibly due to the amount of aromatics in this scent, and it overall just smells like a woody, spicy, sappy, off-brand cologne. If you like encre noire, you would probably like this. For the money, for the vast majority of men, spend a little more for body washes from Chanel or Dior or YSL etc. Or just continue to use affordable body wash.

Bought as a gift for my husband. Molton Brown products are pricey, but they are worth it.The scent is nice and not overwhelming.
