will this break if a car door falls against it while the handle is still in position ?

I believe it would hold up very good to a door being closed. The handle looks to be built very sturdy someone would have to slam the vehicle door very hard and deliberately to try and break the handle.

will it fit any make of car/truck?

I believe so. It fit my Nissan Rogue. Give it a try. It’s made getting in and out of the car much easier for my husband. It it doesn’t work keep it handy in case you ever need to break a car window in an emergency.

What material is the grip made out of? Does it contain rubber?

The inside of the grip is a solid alloy and the outside is a very thick layer of soft rubber. It allows for a firmer and more comfortable grip on the handle.

Does this work for a Jeep Wrangler?

I don’t know but this is an inexpensive item that has several different uses. Plus if it doesn’t work on your jeep you can return it.
