Bought as a gift, I have two of these for my grandkids and they are brilliant. Easy for little hands to hold and use. Volume can be adjusted, they are great value for money. Highly recommend

I love the idea of this if it worked. But it can be very temperamental. If inserting a card (even brand new) all you get for a few turns is “please reinsert the card” which to a 2 year old is very frustrating when don’t understand. Overall if it worked every time if would be a great concept however it’s just so temperamental.Wouldn’t recommend unless improved.Thanks

The media could not be loaded. This is a great little toy for a pre-schooler. The presentation box was nicely made up and items inside were packed well. The dinosaur card reader is small but this makes it easier for little hands to hold and it looks very cute. This comes with 2 glossy boxes of flash cards made of good quality card, double sided with various pictures grouped into categories. The number of pictures per category is listed on the side of each box and all cards are numbered. A leaflet is included in the box with easy to follow set up and usage instructions. The toy speaks clearly, shuts itself off if not played with for a few minutes and informs you of such. There's a volume button that has a few varying levels to select from, on/off button and a repeat button. If a card isn't inserted correctly, it also informs you of that. Some cards have sounds associated with them, others do not. What I love about this is that it comes with a little USB charger so there's no need to worry about fiddling with tablet batteries or not having any spares at home. My 3 year old has been enjoying playing with this toy, lots of cards to go through, granted he knows the majority of items, but he enjoys the aspect of being able to pick a card and insert it in to the dinosaur. Great toy for preschoolers, helps with learning their words and their fine motor skills.It did fall a bit short on something, and although not major, still a bit of an annoyance for me, a number of times we had put in a card and the toy kept saying it wasn't inserted correctly (and it was). We had to remove the card and insert it again (sometimes more than once) for it to read the card, but I don't think it should lose a star over that because I actually think this is a nice toy to occupy and educate a little one.

The media could not be loaded. This talking flash card set is made of a light plastic which is shaped like a dinosaur and green in colour. The unit itself is very light with three yellow push buttons to the front, on/off, repeat and volume. Its shape is nicely rounded so no acute angles to bother the child if they decide to put it in their mouth. You will hear a welcome message when you turn on the machine and conversely a bye-bye message when powered off. The voice which is used is very reminiscent of UK daytime children’s t.v. which is very nostalgic for me as my boys are all grown up now but it took me back which was a nice surprise. Two packs of flash cards are supplied marked A & B with categories including but not limited to, vehicles, dairy, food, jobs, nature and animals. The cards are printed with the word and a picture of the subject in the middle so the child can also see what is being said to them. You slide the desired card into the slot to the right of the unit with the barcode to the top and you will hear the word spoken back to you. The cards are made of a light card so can be torn quite easily so care must be taken but having said that as long as the barcode is intact you still should hear the word spoken. The unit comes with a USB to micro USB charging cable and a set of instructions. A nice little unit to help with a child’s early learning and I would recommend it at the current price point.

It's packed with a bunch of flash cards that have loads of different words on them, like stuff about animals, vehicles, and colours. The variety's spot on for little ones to get a head start on learning new things.What's good is how easy it is to use. Even toddlers can manage it on their own, just popping the cards in and the thing starts chatting away. It's a laugh hearing it make all these animal noises and saying words out loud. Seems durable too, doesn't look like it'll fall apart the second it gets knocked about.It's also got a decent price tag, especially if you nab it on Amazon with all the Prime perks. For under a tenner, it's a solid choice for a kid's gift that's both fun and educational without being too pricey. If you're on the hunt for something to keep a young 'un busy and learning, this might be just the ticket.
