If you don't have any cards inside the pocket, yes.

Q: will a pop socket stick to the fabric?

I don’t know what a pop socket stick is but I know I love these pockets. Mine sticks very well to a textured phone cover. I put my debit card in the pocket and never have to fumble with a wallet in the store. Love it!

Q: Can you put a credit card in the front pocket AND still put the overlap flap over it for extra-security?

Yes you can. The wallet part may seem like it’s stretched too much but you can most certainly put a credit card in the 2nd pocket and overlap the top part.

Yes it should work with iPhone Xs. No it won’t be too thick. I have mine on the outer shell as I did not want the adhesive on my iPhone either. Love mine. Perfect for cards, cash, key etc
