Fantastic book filled with beautiful inspiration

A thoroughly enjoyable book. Corrigan provides lots of pictures including close ups and tidbits about particular pieces in the photos. He included floor plans which help the reader visualize each room’s perspective. He explains how he was led to this, his final chateau. He adds interesting historical details as well as facts about artists and fellow designers.Be prepared to fall into a rabbit hole as I did.I’ve taken notes on people and places I want to explore further and have learned much I didn’t know about France, Paris in particular. He even mentions must see places.I highly recommend this book and will be looking into his previous works as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Whether you live in a one room walk-up or a palace on a hill, you will love this book! Timothy Corrigan has a down to earth approach to creating elegant spaces--comfort comes first! Gorgeous rooms in his city and country homes are a testament to both his design scholarship and years of experience. Though a resident for decades, he retains a humility and sense of wonder about the architecture and beauty of France. Every page is full of wonderful photographs that help guide us through Corrigan's design concepts. Unlike most designers, he willingly discusses his design errors and helps us learn as he explains how he arrived at solutions. This is an open hearted invitation to visit one man's way of life, and experience his passionate dedication to his homes and to France.

I have always loved interior decor and have been curating my own humble style for years. Timothy Corrigan suits my taste perfectly. I think what I love most about his approach is his ability to incorporate art and antiques, yet keep the room fresh looking. This is a gorgeous book and you'll learn a lot by studying its pages. Would give it 20 stars if I could!

Out of all of the coffee table books I have purchased, this has become one of my favorites. I find myself flipping through it pretty regularly. Bright, beautiful photography and plenty of rooms pictured for inspiration with many easy to read descriptions that the author describes his design process. Well worth the money.

The book is so beautiful. The picture excellent and colorful.I just miss the part of the guest bedrooms that appears in the YouTube videos about the same castle.So the book is not about the all property, and in videos like “ Quintessential” YouTube channel and other publications videos, the guests bedrooms seem so cozy and pretty that was disappointing to buy the book and not could see it, and admire and detail all the rooms.

Timmothy Corrigan is a superior interior designer. I’ve bought every one of his books and they are among my favorite designer books. I share his sentiment “comfort first comfort last comfort always”. Yes you can have beautiful things in your home, an elegant well designed room AND comfortable seating!:)). I’d love to have a chat with him about interior design. I definitely recommend all his books.
