Amazing whisky.
Absolutely love it! An incredible peaty and smoky single malt.

Best whisky on the market.
This is the finest whisky of all, well that’s my opinion anyway. Characteristically a full on Islay malt at cask strength. It is for the discerning rather than the delicate pallet. It should never be mixed with anything other than 2 only drops of good spring water, a tip demonstrated to me at the distillery.

An eye-opener
I've avoided buying a "proper" whisky for many years. Always been happy with cheapo brands and just drinking it.Normally when you see descriptions and reviews saying "smokey, ashy, fruity" etc, I can taste nothing of the sort. But this really opened my eyes to what I've been missing out on. The description was literally exactly what I tasted. A fantastic drink for sure and has inspired me to explore whisky a little bit more to see what I've missed for all this time.

Like being punched in the face whilst gently being laid down on a bed of cinders!
Jesus, where do you start? Everything you've read about this mythical beast is true, it's simply amazing. It's like being punched in the face then laid gently down on a pit of burning embers. It's a yin to the sherry yang of the Oogie, and a whole lot more tumultuous than the 10 expression. The initial salty punch gives way to a myriad of flavours that simply burst through like a kaleidoscope of taste sensations, ending with a ridiculously long and woody finish that you can still taste for breakfast the following morning. This is an astonishing experience, let alone as a whisky; and utterly captivating. Personally I don't add water, but that's maybe the masochistic streak of bathing in the full cask strength effect, but I'm sure it would add even more dimensions to it's rainbow. It'snot for everyone, and if you've not tried it, it makes Lagavulin 16 taste like a gentle speyside in comparison! I'd also recommend the Laphroaig quarter cask as a good companion to the Corry - it's not as violent an assault on your senses, but it's capable of a big uppercut in it's own right. Enjoy!

The best Ardbeg
If you're a fan of peaty single malt prepare to be sucked into the whirlpool, never to breathe again! It's quite simply the best Ardbeg on the market and probably one of the best peated Islay malts available. Get in there before it jumps in price!

An assault on the senses
What can I say? As an Islay fan for over 30 years, I’ve had various vintages of Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg but this is the Spinal Tap of Islay malts. Every aspect is turned up to 11. It is an assault upon the senses, the slightest sip is central heating in liquid form. It isn’t a dram, it’s an immersive experience and at under sixty quid, criminally cheap. It is honestly that special that my years of malt experience count for nothing and I have to start again. I suppose I’d better buy another bottle because anything less is a massive anticlimax. Even Lagavulin 16 is a comedown. Once you drive a McLaren, a Bentley feels cheap.

Chocolate and cherry
Interesting whisky. Smells initially of cherry and creosote. First taste is oak, cherry and smoke. That’s followed by pineapple and then it settles down to dark chocolate and cherry.

Peppery flavour bomb
This is an exceptional cask strength NAS whisky, and is my favourite expression from the distilleries core range.Sweet, peaty, peppery, BBQ steak. It's extremely powerful. It's like a big blues band playing a crescendo inside your mouth.
