Good corkscrew but a bit overpriced
I am a part time bartender. I have opened thousands of bottles of wine using this type of corkscrew. This is a good quality corkscrew. I have used better and I have used worse. How do you use this? You first cut the foul with the serrated blade. Then start the corkscrew into the cork. Twist it into the cork until the first lever (shorter one) can sit on lip of bottle. Pry up, then put the longer lever on the lip of the bottle and pry the cork out. What I liked:The corkscrew is Teflon coated and sturdy. I find thin corkscrews wobbly and harder to start than thicker stiffer ones. The lever is double hinged and nice and wide. Double hinged means the longer lever can move out of the way while you lever up using the shorter lever. I thought the handle made it easy to hold (it's not silicone as the listed in the description)What was meh:The steel stops half way thru the handle. I would have preferred it if the steel ran the length of the handle. To my hand I would have liked a heavier key, but that's me.Conclusion:Is it made better than the give away corkscrews? yes. Have I used sturdier more attractive corkscrews? Yes. As a matter of fact I bought the Wino Winekey with ebony handle on Amazon for $13 and IMHO its a much nicer key. Is it worth the price? At $25 I would say no. I gave it 4 stars because it is a good key, just a little pricey.

A good wine opener
This wine opener works well and looks nice, I like the texture etched into the metal parts. The plastic part of the handle also feels pretty good. It's a bit pricey when other openers work just as well. But I wanted it because it looked nice too.

Sturdy Corkscrew
This is a nice corkscrew. The handle is plastic. It feels like G10, but I'm sure its not. Very sturdy. Looks great on the wet bar. I especially like the way the lever part is segmented, but there are no exposed hinge or catch points to nick your hand. I have had other corkscrews with a jointed lever and an exposed hinge grab the webby flesh between my thumb and index finger a couple of times. This spring loaded design avoids that scenario all together. The black anodized screw enters the cork easily upon rotation without much need to jab the point in there manually. The built quality is great. I assume this corkscrew will last indefinitely. The price is right too. Unless you are looking for a more classical aesthetic design in your corkscrew, you cant go wrong with this one. I love it.

Pricey But Worth It
I have never paid this much for a corkscrew wine bottle opener, but I've never had one as good as this! It's like a standard (or even giveaway) wine bottle opener but so much better. It's heavy duty enough to stand up to a lot of bottles and the the handle is very comfortable. The coated corkscrew makes it easier to screw into a cork. The part that sets on the lip of the bottle is double hinged so it can be adjusted to the correct height to lever the cork out of the bottle. That might be my favorite thing about the product. It can serve as a bottle opener for folks who don't drink wine. The foil cutter is serrated, and I haven't decided if I like it more than the unserrated cutters. Even if I don't, the product still deserves five stars.

Durable and easy to use corkscrew
This corkscrew/wine opener is easy to use. It's built nicely. Even the plastic portion is a stronger type of plastic. It feels solid in your hand when using. The design allows for an adequate grip so that you can safely remove the cork from a bottle.

Top of the line in this type of opener
I am not an afficianado but I was fed up with flimsy openers and decided to buy one of the types I'd seen used in restaurants and this one is certainly a lifetime type construction and solid as a rock in terms of the quality of every part. The coated screw goes in with little effort, the plastic grip is large and fits the hand well and even the foil blade is serrated to not leave anything to chance and prevent sliced thumbs. If you enjoy this TYPE of opener I don't think you can buy better. Not being familiar using one of these, I struggled a little with how far to screw in the corkscrew and getting the bottle top lever piece set properly.I'm fine with it now but some folks might prefer something simpler to operate like the wing type made with similar quality. I'm so happy with the quality of this purchase and I'm glad to have a nice compact opener that I can rely on in the drawer. Recommended
