So Easy to Use!
These little brushes are so easy to use and so effective! I use one morning and night with my facial routine. The brush has two sides. First, we scrub our lips with one side and a lip scrub (I use Hanalei Hawaiian Sugar Scrub), then we apply collagen or a lip plumper and massage it in with the other side. The brush is easily cleaned with soap and water. A lot of people don't think of exfoliating their lips, but really, it's necessary if one is to maintain soft, kissable lips. No, this brush won't plump your lips much, if any, but, used with a good scrub, like Hanalei, which can be found here on Amazon, it does get rid of those terrible vertical lines that seem to appear once we're older than twenty-five or thirty, and I am. As most of you know, once those lines appear, lipstick begins to settle in them, ruining the appearance of our lips. A good lip collagen (there are several here on Amazon), massaged in with this brush, takes care of those vertical lines and gets rid of them quickly. This little brush is my newest addition to my daily skin care routine, and I really like it. I'll definitely be ordering more.

It actually works!!
I admit I was skeptical about this product but my desperation to regain my soft lips made me click the BUY button. I just had a baby and between all the milk I was pumping for the baby and caffeine drinking my body was dried out and dehydrated. My lips took a hit and was dried, cracked, and even bleeding--very painful. Even my tried and true expensive as heck lip moisturizer I use couldn't help. Having this lip brush did the trick and made all the difference. The exfoliation must have allowed my lip moisturizer to get better absorbed. I was able to see results in just a couple days. Now I have soft and supple lips again. I tried using a toothbrush and I would not recommend it. First the toothbrush doesn't feel as good and second it will waste whatever product you are using with it because the product will settle deep in the bristles so you have to use a lot more of it, and third it's also hard to clean. This silicone lip brush feels so good and since the "bristles" or "bumps" are shallow, I just needed to use a little bit of my expensive lip moisturizer and it was so easy to clean the brush afterwards. Where has this thing been all my life? I don't think I can live without it now.

Inexpensive handy little things.
I personally am glad I got this. I have a habit of biting the skin off my lips and creating blood spots on them (gross I know but literally everyone has done it). So this helps get some of the dead skin off without tearing the skin. It doesnt get it all. But it does help. Beware though, it might make your lips a tad sore. You're not going to get all the dead skin off your lips with this, but a lot of itEdit: I'm editing this year's later. I was not skin care aware when I originally wrote this review. I'm going to leave five stars because it technically does what it's supposed to. But I'd never use one again nor would I recommend to anyone else. Buy chapstick. Preferably unscented. Apply it after you shower and/or wash your face. And right after you brush your teeth morning and night. Your lips will thank you by not giving you smokers wrinkles and peeling skin.

Worth it with patience!
I was looking for a gentler and effective toothbrush alternative for lip exfoliation and came across this little tool. I was hoping for immediate results (like with a toothbrush) and was pretty frustrated when I didn't get that. I was using it while watching tv - put a small amount burts bees conditioning lip scrub and starting scrubbing slowly in a circular motion. I lost track of time and when the show ended I noticed my lips were much smoother and the dead skin finally came off. With a little bit of patience this exfoliation tool gets the job done without destroying your lips. This is by far the safest and most effective way to exfoliate/remove dead skin on the lips. Toothbrush bristles are way too harsh on the lips, can cause a lot of irritation and harbor bacteria over time. Although you could probably just use a lip scrub and a cloth for removing dead skin I find this tool really relaxing - kind of a like a mini lip massage. Id say it was money well spent!!

Try this if you have severely chapped lips!
Several weeks before, my lips had gotten on this bizarre pattern of severely peeling every single day, and it looked so bad, that the only thing for me to do would peel the flaking skin, but that seemed to contribute to the problem. I tried several different kinds of lip balm, sugar scrubs, Shea butter, but nothing worked. But after trying this (I used it several times a day very vigorously to exfoliate the dead and drying skin Every time I felt them start to chap), it only took two days for my lips to get back to normal. A few weeks later, my lips started chapping again despite using lots of lip balm, and it only took a couple exfoliations with this brush to get them back to normal again. Highly recommend!

As described, but not for me
This may work for many people, but I used it as indicated and it really didn’t do anything for the texture of my lips, nor did they look more plump. They looked and felt exactly the same.Perhaps if one had very dry lips or terrible texture, then this might work, but for me, this is a beauty step I can probably skip.

I like it
I tend to get dry chapped lips a lot in winter (and sometimes summer) so I've recently starting using a lip scrub once or twice a week in the evening before applying an overnight lip treatment.I like that it has two sides & you can choose to use them however you like. I use the bristle side for exfoliation and then the bumpy side for massaging in a small amount of moisturizing product. (After that, I apply a layer of something more occlusive to sleep in, sort of like putting on a lip mask.)I think I found this item via a BuzzFeed article on inexpensive but useful items, and I like it a lot so far so I would recommend giving it a try.
