It is a great product

I bought this to replace an older Bodum travel cafetiere which had broken.If you drink your coffee quickly then this will work for you, it doesn't keep the contents hot at all. I made my coffee in it at work and it was cold within less than 30 minutes, I usually have my drink on my desk and sip it throughout the morning. I ended up replacing it after using it twice.

A good product from a top manufacturer but the piston is too short. This means that there is less drinkable coffee than from a comparable mug of the same size

It looks great, and I’ve had one of the thermal steel models for over 5 years. However, this one doesn’t retain heat as well, and the filter wasn’t very effective—coffee bypassed it and ended up in my mouth.

Keeps tea and coffee hot

I've had a Bodum press for many many years, and felt it was time for a new one, as spares are not sold for these cups. I bought the plastic version this time and where as the sturdy metal presses keep the drink warm for hours on end, with the plastic version, the drink is cold in less than an hour. I use this at work, as often I forget to drink the coffee straight away, and it kept nice and warm in the old press, for me to drink it through the morning, however can't be done with the new plastic version. Such a shame as the design is nice, but the functionality is useless.

This has to be kept upright otherwise it leaks coffee over the carpet :(
