A wonder teapot of infinit bliss!
The second this little wonder pot arrived in the mail, I gleefully tore the box open and have been using it ever since. The design is adorable, not in a cutesy childish way, rather classically adorable. I was worried it would look too bohemian but the blue and white has a classic look which is perfect for my old fashioned taste. The pot works exactly as marketed. It has a switch on the back that you flip and wait for the water to boil. Once it boils, it very handily shuts itself off, giving you the peace of mind knowing its safe (won't boil away) and that it will not be powered on 24/7. It heats water fantastically fast. I pour the water in, flip the switch, find my favorite mug and then try to make a decision of which of my teas to pick from (I may or may not have a million of them). By the time I have chosen my tea, the pot is already done and I can the enjoy the infinite bliss only a fresh cup of tea can provide!I took the pot to the office to share because our water service is gone. My coworkers love the pot so much that they now periodically bring me a gallon of water to contribute so that they can have hot tea/coffee/hot chocolate. That being said, I do recommend using filtered water - where we live the water is naturally "hard" meaning lots of minerals. Those minerals can build up in the pot and cause flaking and debris in the water on subsequent boils.Allow me to explain why I purchased this pot over any of the others available on Amazon. I spent days researching this, reading product reviews, going to forums and more. I am a little paranoid about heating anything up in plastic due to chemicals leaching into the water. with the Bella I have no such fears! She is made of glass and stainless steel at every portion that will come into contact with water. The Bottom has a stainless steel plate for heat, and a rod of stainless steel that goes up the inside side of the pitcher. because it Is glass and stainless it does have some weight to it. but definitely weighs less than my pressure cooker! it sits on a small base with a center thing that conducts heat into the pot. the disk doesn't get hot on the edges. and the area that surrounds it doesn't get hot allowing for ease of movement and no burns! (for this klutz a major concern).I am officially a huge fan and will definitely be buying this in future not only for myself but for anyone that could possibly need it!This teapot has truly changed my life and I don't know how I ever lived without it. I dream of a time where I can Have two of these bad girls (her name is Bella, I Decided she's a girl don't judge) so that I can have one for home. Its a wonderful gadget and absolutely perfect for its function.

Awesome kettle
Aesthetically this electric kettle is quite nice. I've been using it for about one month now, on average 4-6 times a day. I use for making instant coffee , teas, coffee press, chicory, and heating water for cooking. My previous electric kettle was stainless steel model that lasted about 3 years before the heating element died.Positive features as follows. I like that there is no plastic, other than a silicone lid seal. Heating element is stainless and the rest is ceramic. It heats quickly as most of these kettles do. The switch lights blue during heating and will make a soft click when water has reached a boil and it shuts off. If you remove the kettle during heating phase and then return it to the base it will continue to heat the water. ( my previous units all shut off when removed from the base). This is not a negative necessarily but good to know especially if you're not used to this detail. Some features I'm not so happy with are are follows:not too easy to fill through the spout so I have to remove lid each time.Blue color doesn't appear to be a ceramic glaze but rather some kind of paint that I suspect may fade/ peel over time. There is also a min. / max indicators 'painted' on the inside. After pouring there will inevitably be some water dripping along the spout.Despite these minor disappointments I still recommmend this kettle. Although I can't comment yet on longevity, I do suspect this will last a long time. The build quality is superior.Update: Having used this kettle for 5 months straight, I have had no issues. It continues to work flawlessly. The design (blue color) has not faded or chipped off. It can be a little tricky to clean especially at spout and small drain holes. Luckily having a water softener makes this an infrequent need. A little baking soda and vinegar will do the trick. I've increased my rating to a 5 since I really am quite fond of this kettle..............Update #2This lasted 4.3 years before the spout cracked off. Undoubtedly this was from my own abuse over the years. It still works but now only hold 1-2 cups of water. Time to get a new one...
