Buy in Bulk - Cheaper Price Per Marker!
I'm really happy about this purchase. I considered buying each marker separately in order to build my professional marker collection, but this set saves me the trouble. It's also much cheaper to purchase these in bulk! For the price I got for this item, I paid about $2 per marker. You get every Prismacolor marker made. All the greys and color series, including metallics and a colorless blender. As soon as I received my shipment, I sampled each marker to test color by making a color chart. I highly recommend doing so. The label of the marker can be misleading. I'm very pleased with the quality of these markers. The colors are bold and the variety is awesome - no two colors are alike, which is an issue with some brands. The quality of the colorless blender is also impressive. Usually colorless blenders take on the colors being mixed... not with Prismacolor's version! It's an interesting to create color dimension if you want to "wash out" a color that has been committed to paper.ISSUE: The only issue I had with my marker set is two of my markers came damaged. The large nib of the "avocado" marker was torn and the small nib of the "pale jade" color did not have any ink. Both markers are still usable, however.STORAGE: I'm not a fan of the little plastic trays. They take up a lot of space. My plan is to get some rectangle vases from Ikea to store my markers in vertically, creating a nicer display.SMELL: These markers do have a smell. I personally don't mind too much, as it isn't too strong unless you're using metallic gold or silver.I'll try to post my color charts along with my review. I drew on watercolor paper, which added a nice textural dimension. These markers do bleed a little, but that isn't really a big deal. I would not use the ink with thin papers.I recommend using Faber Castell markers as an option for outlining your work. They don't bleed when pairing color over it, which is what other markers will do - especially Sharpie.

Great tools for artists!
These markers are very good quality. They have a very paint-like effect. They even have a blending marker that works well to blend the markers and to create light coloring effects. The marker set came with four special shiny colors that emulate gold and silver. One thing I tried to do when I got them was to put them in a different order with similar colors in the same trays. I also tried to test each color on paper to see the true value of each marker. One thing I didn't like was that the caps are really hard to take off, but this is really a minor thing so I can forgive it. If you want a good deal on great quality markers and you need a lot of colors for a full range of color combinations then look no further. I also have seen videos of people coloring over their marker drawings with Prisma Color pencils which is an extra you can think about if you want even more depth to your artwork.

Prismacolor markers
Product is exactly what I ordered, arrived on time and in good condition. The only downside is from when originally viewed product to actually ordering product I missed the sales price.

AWESOME!!!!
I'm studying Interior Design, and these markers are amazing. I only needed 75 different colors for my classes, but sprang for all of these due to the overall cost- and it's totally been worth it! My designs and drawings are much better looking than the others (hate to sound conceited), I'm not limited to colors, and all of the markers work perfectly. Definitely experiment with the different tips when you get them (there is bleeding), and make yourself a color chart so you know what they'll look like on paper.

Prismacolor Marker Set of 156
So overall I LOVE the markers, but the "stand" they came with it the most flimsy set of plastic trays I have ever seen in all my life. Usually I think "oh, bad reviews must be exaggerating", well, I'm trying not to, really.I LOVE the markers themselves, but this is just a warning: the "stand" is flimsy, and won't hold them very well. It's not really a stand at all but a stack of flimsy plastic trays.I ended up buying a new drawer set that's now next to my art table, and I keep my art supplies in there. But the markers are fantastic. They are, contrary to popular belief, refillable. There's a video about it on youtube. Just search for the video titled "Don't throw away your markers" by Overground comics, it shows how to refill them and what to use. It's pretty nifty. The one thing I recommend though is that you make your own color chart for them, because some of the colors are actually very different than the color printed on the wrapping. "Forest Green" (PM-184) was laughable, really. I think it actually might have been a misprinted label, it was that much of a difference.I use cardstock with these, and so far haven't had any issues with them bleeding. I would definitely not recommend any kind of thin paper though. The ink will seep right through.

Artists Best Friend
Bought this year's ago actually and just not writing a review...I'm a professional tattoo artist and I do alot of art. These pens are worth the money. I also use Copics and honestly I cant choose one over the other. They were even packed away for a year and a half and I just got them out not long ago and they work just as good -no dry pens yet.

Instead of one of each color, I got two ...
Instead of one of each color, I got two of markers that are the same, and two original one are missing. One of the purple marker is colorless.
