Great value!
This pencil sharpener works great! It sharpens quickly and evenly without breaking the lead, which is a huge plus—especially for colored pencils. The blades are sharp, and the shavings container is a good size so you don’t have to empty it constantly. It feels sturdy and well-made, and it's easy to use whether you're sharpening standard #2 pencils or art pencils. I also appreciate that it's compact enough to fit on a desk without taking up too much space.Whether you're using it for school, office work, or art projects, this sharpener gets the job done efficiently and cleanly. Definitely a great value!

Prismacolor pencil sharpener
Nifty little sharpener. Works great on colored pencils and watercolor pencils.

Works great!
This sharpener is amazing quality and storage is surprisingly large, I’m emptying it far less than I thought I would. Perfect sharpen every time and doesn’t ruin the pencil at all.

imo the best sharpener bang for its buck
Listen, it’s affordable, and its blades are from Germany! It’s like a Porsche, lol. But seriously, this sharpener is great. I wish there were more colors! Otherwise, it’s a sharpener that’s razor sharp and works best on color pencils with soft leads. It also works well on #Ticonderoga pencils.

Wider cutting angle = less broken leads
Although mine only just arrived and has yet to see extensive/real usage, initial tests are good! The common, everyday two-hole pencil sharpener has two different sizes of holes to accommodate different pencil diameters, but what nobody ever seems to tell you is that the larger hole also tends to have a wider cutting angle! (For example, 30° vs. 23°.) I immediately had to check this against the generic (but trusty) pencil sharpener I've been using for over 20 years . . . only to verify that not only does the larger hole indeed have a wider cutting angle, I've been sharpening my Prismacolors using the "wrong" (narrow angle) one the whole time! While the cutting angles on this branded sharpener do not look much different from the common everyday angles, and are certainly not the super-wide factory cutting angle seen on new Premieres (and I also think my measurements as shown in the photo below skewed a little wide), this sharpener nonetheless provides a wider-angle sharpener in a same-diameter hole as the common everyday sharpener, which an advantage in itself, compared to trying to sharpen pencils in a hole intended for larger sizes (if you were in school during the '80s then you probably remember the nuisance of those rotating size rings on the classroom sharpeners).Only one thing to keep in mind: When it is time to empty the shavings compartment, the lid can be tricky to remove. With other sharpeners the lid may simply unscrew rather easily, but on this model the lid pops open. Try to grip the lid from its sides, while gripping the base from its front and back -- this helps reduce pressure on the snaps that hold it in place, and should make it easier to open for emptying. In the below photo, I compared the angles of my common sharpener (A,B) against this Prismacolor sharpener (C,D) and a new (factory-sharpened) Premiere for reference.

Nice manual sharpener.
Nice sharpener, I did have to look up how to open the top as this was a little difficult to open, once opened it pops off easily. Size is great, but should come in different colors.

For travel only
This is what I use if I am not going to be at my desk where my electric sharpener it. This one is good but I am spoil... which means this one makes a fine sharp point which will easily break off if your hand is not steady when sharpening or removing the pencil from the sharpener.

Easy for elderly to use
Perfect pencil sharpener, easy enough for an 95 year old to use. Love the different pencil tip options. Tank holds a lot of pencil trimming too!
