I don’t know how people used to wear this all the time but ordered it for a costume and it worked perfect. Was really fun to wear and run around in but just beware that you will take up a lot more room! Seems sturdy and held up for the costume.

This might be better for you if you are around 5'3" or 5'4" unless you have a long skirt or dress ontop that covers it. You could kind of see the hoop skirt through the tulle fabric of my dress in my photo.Nice and lightweight, sturdy, fits nicely and is adjustable. You can even sit in it, but I took it off before the movie so I could be more comfortable.Perfect for Glinda ! 💖

Its nice and size adjustable with its strings, its decently comfortable the elastic band can get slightly annoying / irritating after a few hours. Its a good quality fabric and not at all heavy and can hold a good decent amount of weight.

This hoop skirt is exactly what I was looking for. The waistline has Velcro and a tie for extra comfort and security. The hoops are adjustable. The fabric is lightweight and comfortable. I think a heavier fabric would add to much weight to the overall dress. I think it is perfect! I have not received the dress that will go over this skirt but will post pics as soon as I can.
