Great bike for the money; 16" version
Nice frame. 16" version weighs about 18 lbs total.brakes are strong, very firm. good stopping. Our child took to them within 1 day.brake levers are good; albeit 100% plastic.gear spocket guard works good16" wheels are perfect; less than 1mm of deflection in any direction (checked with a dial gauge)Pedals are "OK" at best, I don't think they have bearings. Doubt there would be much gain upgrading them.Handle bar is OK; it's a cafe racer style which looks cool. But for some kids a bar with a 3" rise might be more comfortable. Just be aware you'll need to redo the brake cables with longer ones. The installation instructions were seriously poor. Lots of stuff missing; like setting brake pads correctly and checking chain deflection. Also difficult to read the printout; very low quality. The rest of the adjustments are pretty normal for any new bike...We cut 1" off of the seat post to get it a bit lower for my 5 year oldWe adjusted the brake levers in (closer to the bar) so they are easier for a grab for someone with small hands (simple screw stop adjustment on the brake lever)All brake pads had to be squared/aligned to the wheel rim (this is an important step for best braking performance)Adjusted the brake cablesBike has gone 30+ miles already and has been very good on the trails. For the money this is a great deal. No complaints.

Not great
It was a good sturdy little bike but the mechanics are all wrong for a toddler bike. The seat sits up as high as the handle bars just like an adult bike so my three year old was leaned over riding just like an adult bike. And it only has hand brakes which were too wide for his little hands to reach. We returned it.

Great bike and price
I was very leary of the other reviews buying this but have been very satisfied. My son has been using it all summer. He was 3 all summer and now 4 years old. It worked great for his size. He was not ready for a 16'' but a 12'' was too small. It did take some patience and tweaking to get everything how we all wanted it but I don't see any other bike not having those issues to customize to your individual toddler needs. No complaints so far. He was much more comfortable on this 14'' bike than a 16'' bike that we also purchased thinking we did not want to buy a 12'' which is what he started on (strider) then we jumped to the 16'' (different brand) and he was not comfortable. So we purchased this to help him get comfortable and it worked.

It’ll work when he’s a bit taller! Lots of tweaking needed.
I was looking for a relatively lightweight bike with a freewheel and hand brakes. My youngest wants to keep up with older siblings and was too small for the two wheelers we already own. We are a cycling family and assembly was fine. Like another reviewer said, we tweaked a lot.I am disappointed that the seat hight is higher than the inseam length in the description. If you’re using the training wheels, it’s probably fine. But coming from a balance bike, my kiddo will go right to the pedals. They usually need to be flat footed as they begin. The measurements from the top of the seat (which we cut down) to the ground is 18.5 inches.Happy to have an option that has what we need for a reasonable price, but he will have to grow a bit before we can use it.

Good price and durability.
Good bike for a child just learning to pedal. Is a bit heavy, but not too much. For children who are out growing a balance bike it meets the expectation. It's solid and and steady on flat surfaces and holds it own going down hills. Hand brakes are decent, making it much easier than a coaster brake in my opinion for control.

Defective Body.
The body of this bike was defective and it could not be assembled. The front wheel did not fit into the fork where it was meant to go. Huge disappointment.

Hunched over.
Handle bars are too low. Tried changing them but the goose neck I’d an odd ball size and standard bike bars don’t fit properly.

Choose another one
Directions are very poorly written. Can’t get the front wheel to fit.Beware- no coasting break.
