Do these fit into a electrical gang box

Would soldering your cable to this make it unbalanced?

No so long as you make sure your 3 wires are run to the same pins of your xlr male end for each jack. If you are using 1/4" male plugs on the other end make sure you get the ring/tip/sleeve type and hook them up properly ( Google xlr wiring). If you use mono 1/4" jacks it will be unbalanced. Mono will still work done correctly but you may have db loss and noise. I use this plate in my recording studio in the vocal booth, ran all the wires in the walls to the control room to mixing console and it works great.
