According to this article from a scientific journal, they have minimal effect on the adult bees, and if the odd adult bee does get infected at a nectar source and bring it back to the hive, the infection does not readily spread to the brood in the hive. I am not familiar with the ortho dial sprayer you described, but I would not use a "forceful" spray setting as it might damage the nematodes as they impact the soil. I would use a fairly gentle setting and overspray a few times. Good luck!

Yes these will work, but you need to apply then in the wet season as they will die immediately in the heat of summer
