Good value
I needed a big screen laptop with graphics horsepower and this seemed like a good price for a very good spec.Normally the first thing I do with a laptop is install Linux because most of the time, unless you need a Windows-only app, it's a safer and more flexible OS by a long way. And it's free. However, having bought the Omen and done a lot of googling I realised that it was too new to be properly supported by Linux so I shrugged and opted to continue with Windows 11.I've been using Windows for years now and the first job is always to tell it not to share my data with Microsoft. The second is to remove or disable the crud that always comes with it. Having done all that and installed my favourite apps this laptop is near faultless. I use GIMP with very large graphics files and the Omen has no problem at all with them. The keyboard is good (not great) for typing. The screen is superb; glowing colours that make my previous Dell laptop look muddy.A word of caution; after a day of use, the laptop began to freeze every few hours (I have been using it most days for several hours at a time). No response from keyboard, black screen. I left it for 2 minutes or so and it recovered with no issue. This kept on happening. Googling the problem gave only vague hints, probably because this is a new machine. In the end I removed most of the HP apps as I really don't need them. I also disabled all of the 'go to sleep' options in the power settings. Problem solved! This gets 5 stars because despite the hiccups it really is an excellent machine that does exactly what I wanted.BTW I bought a spare charger off Amazon - just a few quid and it means I don't have to carry it around with me.

This is a large quite heavy gaming laptop but it does the job very well
This is a large comparatively heavy lap top, but boy it is a really good games platform! My old laptop died so I was looking for a replacement. I don’t need to carry it around much so size and weight were not an issue, so when I saw this HP Omen on sale in the Amazon spring event I didn’t a bit of research. Reviews were all positive (apart for the weight!). So I purchased one. I am so glad I did as it has a great screen and has had no problems playing top tier games. It also stays very cool compared to my last one which I suppose is an advantage of the larger case. All in all I am well impressed!

Impressive machine
I've had this laptop for around a month now. The good points are noise levels especially under load are quite impressive; the screening is fantastic in terms of colour, refresh rate, size; it runs my favourite apps and games effortlessly; it is an acceptable weight, but i wouldn't want to carry it around daily, I keep a 15.6 Omen for that.Bad point, so far only one: it is susceptible to screen ghosting / image imprinting. Leaving a game on pause for 5 minutes left a noticeable imprint which scared the life out me. Restart etc didn't fix. However, leaving a full screen white background for 20 mins, followed by black for 20 mins resolved the issue. Seems to be limited to certain games causing this issue. Keep sleep time set to two minutes as is the default to avoid!Overall quite impressed and happy with the purchase.

A flying machine
Yes it's a very solid feeling computer it motors doing along with ease and don't appear to break into a sweat keeps cool when running I run multiple videos at the same time and it was running great I used Vegus pro and that rendered ok without any fuss I used a special cable into the usbc port this allowed me to connect extra hard drives but there are plenty of ports to go round i have windows 11 you might have any to make sure your screen sleep is set a bit longer when plugged in because by default it just goes black I found this annoying I also got a usb mike and usb microphone so can sit on my seat and use it while looking at my huge TV screen i also have word so can just talk into word and it types for me all in all a great computer worth the money for sure.

Very capable
You won't be disappointed with this laptop. Top framerate.Temperature wise it's very good. And it's actually quiet compared to alot of laptops out there. It has a side usb slot. Then another usb slot. A hdmi slot and a USB type c slot so you can even charge your phone.Great laptop. 32gb RAM is overkill for games. But man it feels so smooth.
