Backyard Girls 30-Degree Sleeping Bag

I gave this to my daughter this year for her 9th birthday, as she was having a sleepover party. The colors are pretty much spot on as the photo. She's tall for her age and she fit in it well, with lots of extra room for her to grow. She did use it inside, so I can't comment much on how well it will do in 30 degree weather yet, but she did mention while laying in it (in the living room) that she was sweating if that's any indication.I love that it comes with a compression bag with strings for her to carry on her back while hiking to a good camping spot.I also love that it has a drawstring for those exceptionally cold nights for her to wrap around her head to keep her warm. I noticed this question was asked whether it had one or not and the answer was no. The one I purchased here did indeed have one.

Picked these up for the annual camping trip with the dogs. At 12 and 14 they deserve all the comfort we can give them. They used to love snuggling in our sleeping bags, but at our ages, we could all use a little room.Put these down unzipped the first night, just a little pat told them this was their bed for the evening. Once curled up, we zipped the fuzz balls in. The hooded part of the bag was perfect for little snoots to stick out. We found them curled cozily in the same position the next morning. No shivering like the old days when we’d bundle them up beside us.These are perfect inexpensive bags, especially for medium sized dogs!

This sleeping bag is very comfortable and keeps my daughter toasty and warm. She has only camped in the backyard so far, but it's been perfect. I love the built in pillow. The color is great too. Very gender neutral so she can pass it down to her little brother when she outgrows it. It's a good length. My daughter is 6 and there is still plenty of room for when she grows taller. It rolls up very small and has a nice little bag to carry it in. It's rolls up small so it's super easy to store. Great buy.

I bought this sleeping bag for my 11 year old son to use on a 4-H camping trip. The sleeping bag rolls up, and fits into the stuff sack just fine. It was not a "noisy" bag compared to some of the others out on the market. My son has also used the bag to take with him to sleepovers and the like. The bag fits him just fine. I have seen other reviews that this bag didn't fit smaller children, but my son is just over 5 foot at 11 years of age and had no problems fitting in the bag whatsoever.This sleeping bag works out well for my son's use here in Kentucky. The bag would probably be a bit hot in warmer climates, and I wouldn't be able to swear by the coldness rating yet.The only real drawback I see with this sleeping bag, (if it were going to be used very much in cooler weather) is that there isn't a drawstring in the hood of the sleeping bag that you could pull tight to keep air drafts out. For our needs this was not a deal breaker, but it might make a difference to someone else. Overall, I would recommend this sleeping bag to others who may use it similar to our use.

I bought a pair of these sleeping bags for our 8 year old daughter and 3 year old son. I've been looking for kids mummy bags and seen some other products. Some made for fun or labeled as a toy, none made with the quality my children deserve. Wenzel Backyard Mummy Sleeping Bag's checked all of the boxes: 1. came in boys and girls colors (purple and green) 2. kid size (66 x 26 inches) 3. packed small (14 x 10 inches) 4. a solid temp rating (30 Degrees F / -1 Degrees C). My kids slept soundly through the night which meant, I slept soundly through the night. Thanks Wenzel!

Pretty nice sleeping bag. It’s very light. It is warm, according to my seven year old daughter. The interior and exterior fabrics are very soft and pleasant to the touch. The zipper is average, and like most average zippers, likes to grab and ingest fabric as you try to close it. However my small seven year old was able to enter it Dukes of Hazzard style with it full zipped each time quite successfully.

This was a purchase for my pre-teen daughter. We had a hard time finding an affordable option that was not meant for little kids. This sleeping bag has been perfect. It is the exact style of her older sisters so that is a plus.She stays warm in this sleeping bag when sleeping in our RV...in the mountains without heat. She also uses it for sleepovers. It definitely keeps her warm, sometimes too warm. It rolls up in to the provided bag. The bag did rip easily, a shredded hole, but still works.

I'm buying one more now that I've received the two I ordered for Chtistmas. This sleeping bag is great, perfect for the 6 and 7 year old kiddos I ordered for, in both the purple for girls and green for boys. For some reason when you choose the green it's still states that it's a girl sleeping bag and I hope this does not deter anybody from buying it. It is actually listed as boys on Wenzel's website, regardless an excellent sleeping bag for both boys and girls. I would not recommend it for a teenager however.
