These are really nice locking bolts--304 stainless steel, half-inch thick bolt, and the weld between the bolt and hasp is beautifully done and polished. I bought two, and came back for two more. Of the four bolts, three were perfect in every way. One had the hasp welded slightly off perpendicular, but still useable. I'm very picky and it was not worth sending it back. Overall, these are a super choice to secure a door. They come with stainless steel screws, but I drilled out the mounting holes to 1/4" and used stainless bolts to secure these to a security door.

Solid and well made stainless steel barrel bolt.No problem with the weld of cylinder to the latch.You may well need to buy stronger/longer screws than those provided. Sincemountings will vary depending on the situation, I have have no issues about this - I don'texpect screws to be included for every situation. However, I would recommendgetting good stainless steel screws of appropriate width and length. The bolt itself lookssolid and very strong. Any weakness will lie with the mounting of the bolt.

Very nice design and made of heavy stainless steel. This is the best slider bolt I could find. It gives a clean look, provides lots of play to accommodate different installations,, and will not rust. My only nitpick is that the slider plate just barely fits across a 2x4. If it was just a little shorter, with closer screw holes, it would be perfect. Still, a 5-star item.

Most definitely very heavy, solid and pleasing to use compared to most gate latches out there as others have said but I would not buy again. Three problems -1) The sliding bolt is in the way of the screw holes on the main body of this latch. Drilling and driving is less than precise or frustration-free and you will likely do damage the phillips screw head. Not a deal breaker but poor design.2) This one's on me - I should have noticed - but in case you are not noticing the receiver for the sliding bolt on the gate post side is millimeter precise. This latch will not be forgiving of any flexing of your gate or door over time.3) The latch had rusted areas the day after installation. This where the chuck on my drill lightly scratched the bolt mechanism (see problem 1). This has the look, feel, and heft of 304 stainless steel but this is something other than 304 stainless steel. Not that I'm worried this latch is going to crumble anytime soon but I don't like this sort of blatant dishonesty.

The mount screws that come with the latch are weak stainless that snap easily and strip out. Great latch once mounted with better screws.

Installed on a shop door for more security.

This is really strong and good looking for my shed. Looks precision.Update: Now i have used this for 9 months and I don't know why but I feel so good every time I use it. It just seems so cool and near perfect the way it works so smooth and clean. It is just one of those small things in my life that makes me happy.

Very impressed, definitely worth buying. They are definitely strong and will last.
