I own three pairs of these. When my daughter was 18 months, she started pulling her hair out while sucking her thumb. I tried many things, but these sleeves are helping fade out the habit. She does not pull her hair while wearing the sleeves. In the summer, I would pin these to her clothes because she could pull them off. However, now in fall/summer, I put the under long sleeves, and she can't wiggle out of them. They give me a peace of mind because I know she isn't pulling her hair while I am driving or or sleeping. Plus, the mitts are silky and easy to clean. They are white and show dirt, but that's just a good reminder to wash them since she wears them on her hands. They are cotton and soft. Be sure to measure the child before going by the size alone. The shipping was fast ordering from over seas, but now I'm glad they ship from amazon!
