Repurpose 100% Compostable Plant Based Insulated Hot Cup, Sleeve, and Lid Set | 12 Ounce | 12 Cups

I tested the cup's insulation by boiling water then immediately pouring it into the cup and holding it. The cup was warm, but completely comfortable to hold for a prolonged period. I then added a tea bag and let it steep for a few minutes, then I used a spoon to mix sweetener into the tea, then leisurely drank it over a period of 30 minutes.Summary: This cup insulates against heat very well, and it stands up to mechanical stresses such as carrying it around and stirring with a spoon. The cup remains watertight over a prolonged period and doesn't soften, and the cup seems to withstand mildly acidic liquids without any problems. The lids don't fit quite as tightly as the lids on most soda cups, so I can understand why some reviewers complained about them. However, they are quite serviceable if you are careful.I only ordered a dozen cups as a test, but after seeing how well they performed I plan to order more. They will be ideal for a cocoa party I plan to have sometime this winter.

Bought these for a 7-year old birthday "hot chocolate" party. Twenty-four 7 year old boys holding hot cups of cocoa. Not one spill, not one complaint that the cup was too hot. Love that these cups don't need a sleeve, love that they come with lids, love that they are 100% compostable.

Third time buyer. Love the fact that eco- biodegradable. It does easily break, but it is because biodegradable product. I didn't expect anything more than to whole a cup of coffee until I empty it.

These cups are perfect for when I am rushing out the door only to realize I haven't cleaned my Contigo thermos mug or when I want to take my coffee with me and not carry around an empty steel cylinder when I'm done. I don't feel guilty disposing of these cups.

The cups are wonderful, as described. However the lids are a disappointment. They are slightly to large and/or loose causing them to leak. And to think this is my second box both of which had the same problem.
