A godsend for your super-tugger
First let me say that my 105 lb Rottweiler puppy LOVES this toy. He will play for 20 minutes at a time by himself. The pole and mesh rope are VERY sturdy and withstand all of his tugging. My only complaint is that the “base”, which is a metal pipe, is not made of heavy enough metal. If they made it out of steel, this thing would get 5 stars.

Loved the pole.....but my dog destroyed the knotted toy in just two hours
Love the pole. Very sturdy, however, my dog destroyed the knotted toy in two hours. I purchased the larger size to try to have something strong for her. I would love to find a stronger toy she cannot destroy that quickly. Other than that, great way to exercise.

Great Toy for Large Dogs!
I bought this for one very strong six month old puppy. She loves the toy, however, our soil is comprised of clay and rock and I could not get the base in the ground outside. When I put it in our garden soil it fell right over. It needs to be driven well into your lawn and I bent the metal base trying all kinds of mallets and then finally a brass hammer, which didn't even work. I contacted the company and asked if they would replace the base as our dog loves the toy. I will try and drive it in our lawn after several days of rain. This is what I do with the dog's two metal tether poles. The company has been great and is sending a new metal base. Contacting them was quick and easy and they were very responsive. The toy can be used w/o the base and is fun to move around physically and play interactively with your dog. But the pole is very sturdy so it's a bit heavy to do this for long.

Needs a better base.
Disliked the narrow base spike... Not very secure. After a few 35 pound dog tugs, the post now leans 6 inches any way it happens to be leaning. For the expence of this toy, the engineer or owner should have been more creative or less cheap.Give a proper solid base.

So far so good!!
105 pound Doberman is trying his best! I will have to cement the post holder because of our soil. The stake holder is moving underground but the actual post is straight and very strong! Will update if changes.

Needs a better base
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. After being installed deeply in the ground this product lasted for about 35 seconds before the base bent and came out of the ground. We do have sandy soil here in Florida, so I may have to cement it into the ground. Possibly a corkscrew sort of base would work better with this.

Not for large dogs
I hammered this piece into the dirt and literally 2 seconds later he bent it. Not for large dogs such as the one we have. The durability of this is no good.
