Learnthings Literacy for primary school is a comprehensive e-learning package consisting of high-quality interactive materials designed to empower teachers and parents, and engage learners in the learning process. The material is presented in age groups for ease of use. The age groups start at ages 6-7 year olds and progress through to ages 12-13 year olds. This exciting, interactive resource has been written by a dynamic group of experienced teachers and subject specialists covering a wide range of Literacy and ICT concepts. The package offers you access to thousands of pages of online lessons, interactive activities and printable worksheets giving you a complete literacy curriculum for use in a school or at home. The subject areas covered are too extensive to list, however the lowest levels start with initial and final word sounds and at the highest level children are working on best essay practices. The ICT component of the software teaches all of the fundemental parts of ICT from explaining emails to designing web pages and working on excel. Please note that this software is designed in South Africa the english used is the same as in the UK, and all sound is read in a British accent, however children leave primary school in South Africa at 13 meaning that the higher levels are equivelant to pre-GCSE in the UK.
