The crystals are so course and it doesn't get dissolved in water. can i crush them in a blender to a fine powder? will it still work?  ok on food?

Hi there Evelyn, yes we use pure, course crystal, and because of its purity it does not dissolve quickly in water, if you ever buy an Organic Sulfur that does dissolve fast, its a sure sign there is an additive or anti-clumping agent added to it. In terms of your question, you absolutely can use a blender, spice grinder or mortar and pestle to make the crystals in to a finer powder. If you do this you can also use the powder and mix with things like Aloe Vera Gel to make an excellent spot pain treatment gel, or with shampoo to create an amazing hair thickener and smoothing complex. Hi there thank you for your question, we have answered this before,  but we are happy to post it again so you can make the best decision.MSM (Organic Sulfur), is created in nature through the earth's sulfur cycle, but MSM from natural sources are actually within parts per million. What that means is that for commercial use, you cannot extract, isolate or grow the compound. Lately many companies on the web state that their MSM is made from Pine Lignin or Natural wood. This is quite misleading because you can't squeeze MSM from a tree, or pound it out of plants, you would need massive amounts to be able to extract a few pounds of it. Simply its not feasible. Chemical reactions are required to make MSM. All commercially available MSM is created through a reaction of DMSO and hydrogen peroxide. The source of the raw materials are insignificant if MSM is manufactured correctly because the end result is a molecule 100% identical to that found in nature. Current sources of DMSO are created through oxidizing DMS (a combination of sulfur and methyl groups) with elemental oxygen = DMSO. Worldwide supply of MSM uses DMSO that is a by-product from carbon-based fossil fuels, which you must remember are actually old plant and carbon based matter. Within the market there is a misconception that one supply of MSM is more natural than another. This is really not the case because all MSM is created in the same manner with the same raw materials-but the difference comes down to production, and whether distillation or crystallization is used.We use a multi-stage process of distillation, yielding one of the purest forms of MSM on the market today. Yes, unfortunately for me I originally purchased 2 bags. Thev1st. I committed to taking 2X daily for the 1st month, which I did. I had a history of ulcers, and this did aggravate that condition. Then, I stopped, took my meds for GERD for a month, calmed everything down. I tried for 2 weeks 3 different times. Each with similar results. I did mix mine with Bragg Aplple Cider Vinegar, then wondered if that made sense to mix that acid with the Sulfur. lol Sorry, I had high hopes
