I LOVE this bag! It's the perfect medium size, has a ton of pockets, and is convertible. Also, it's super cute and stylish. I like the shade of brown - it's more in between brown and cognac, which is what I've been looking for. A great neutral color. I'm a function over labels type of lady - and so far this bag is way more practical and cute than designer bags I've owned. This is a great everyday bag for someone who still wants to be a little trendy without the extreme price. It appears to be well-made, but I just received it. I will update over time if there are any quality defects. If I don't update this, then assume I'm still happy with the quality. I'm probably going to buy the burgundy one next!

I really like this backpack purse. I’ll be the first person to admit, I’m the type of person to get one purse and use it until it falls apart. After my favorite of many years fell apart last summer, I replaced with a purse I never really loved. The strap hurt, I lost everything in it’s one massive pocket, and I didn’t like how it only had one way to carry it. So when I decided to replace it after a year, I had some ideas of a few features I wanted. This backpack purse met all of those and exceeded my expectations! The straps are incredibly comfortable, and the shoulder strap can be lengthened enough to be worn as a cross body bag, if you’d like. There are plenty of pockets and separators, some with zippers and some without, to keep everything from getting lost. The side pockets aren’t big enough to put a water bottle in but they’re perfect for my car keys. My water bottle fits just fine in the main compartment of the purse with my wallet as well, with plenty of room to spare. Both the front and the back pocket fit my phone easily. The grey looks really nice, and the metal seems high quality.

This backpack/crossbody is amazing. It looks and feels like a very good quality bag. The zippers are smooth and it has enough pockets to store all different kinds of stuff. I like the style, and the color is true to the pictures shown. It was the perfect shoulder bag for my NYC trip. In my opinion, it is a very good value for money.

I've been looking for a purse for a few months now and nothing has been quite right. After trying many many purses I settled on this one. It's not ginormous but has plenty of space to hold my 10.5 inch ipad, a book, any required kid supplies, etc and also opens wide enough at the top to make it easy to get things in and out (an area where a lot of other purses fail!). This isn't my perfect dream purse for a few minor reasons, but it'll definitely hold me over until I stumble across my unicorn purse and I'll enjoy using it in the meantime. Pros: I like the little lavender sachets shipped with it - nice touch and I didn't notice much by way of chemical smells coming off the purse so maybe they helped with that too. Love that the top opens nice and wide and that it makes it easy to sling off one shoulder and grab something without taking it entirely off when it's in backpack mode. The detachable strap is smooth on one side and webbing on the other. The webbing does a great job of keeping the purse from sliding around/off which is nice. Alternatively, if you're going to be getting into your purse a lot you can flip the strap to the smooth side to make it easy to slide and shift as needed. Also love that the strap is long and wide enough to be comfortable as a crossbody strap as well as a shoulder strap. The purse is big without being too big - can hold my 10.5" ipad easily and still have space for other bulkier items as well, but doesn't feel bulky when empty either. Cons: Wish the little side pockets either had a wider zipper that wrapped like the top does, or no zipper at all because the location is great for keys/etc, but the zipper area is so small that it's still difficult to get into and you really can't get more than two fingers in to try and grab stuff back out. It would be nice if the backpack straps were detachable. As it is, they're light enough that I don't notice them too much while using it as a purse, but more flexibility is always nice and then I wouldn't have to worry about the straps catching and tangling on things. Really, really wish there was a non-zippered pocket on the outside! Kept having to unzip and re-zip pockets getting my phone in and out and it would be so much easier if there was a nice drop pocket for quick access items.

I love it so far. Its the perfect size- not huge like a school backpack, and not tiny like a kid's purse. Its soft, adjustable and has plenty of room inside. I like the square-ish shape and that the zipper is on the top because it holds things upright inside. I can fit my makeup bag, swell bottle, brush, wallet and still have left over room in the main compartment. The front zip compartment holds a lot as well. The little zip pockets on the sides add style but are also useful. On one side I can fit my ear buds and my keys and on the other, I can fit my phone charger. The inside pockets are nice for organizing smaller things. The back security pocket is just the right size for my phone. When I use it for travel I will also be able to include my umbrella and packable down jacket in the main compartment. I like that the shoulder strap is optional. Even though I prefer using the bag as a backpack, I am keeping the extra strap attached because it looks really nice. The top handle is great for hanging on door hook or for grabbing the bag quickly. I really hope it lasts because right now I am loving it!

Disclaimer* I have only ever used canvas bags before this so I might be biased. I rarely switch bags, but there are certain things about my current one of 2 years that were starting to bother me so I decided to get a new one. After looking at a ton of bags, I picked this one. Ultimately, I sent it back, but that doesn't mean it's awful. Pros: It's pretty, a good size, and has a decent amount of compartments. It gives the option of wearing it multiple ways, and the straps are more comfortable than some of the other bags I've tried. Cons: It has zero padding in the back. I could feel what was in the zipper pouch that is on the back inside wall. It feels somewhat delicate, like it could break easily (I'm used to canvas though). The zippers aren't smooth. Wasn't really comfortable to carry (but I only tried for a few hours so I can't say I gave it that much of a shot). I don't want to rate it too low, because it could be that I was so used to my other bag that I was nit-picking, but there are some legitimate issues like the padding and zippers. There was a card inside that said there is a 1 yr warranty though. Either way, I sent it back, and have ordered a different one. I'm sticking with canvas for sure. I like my bags to feel sturdy!

I do love the bag. I do, really. It fits a lot of stuff in it, without the weight. I often wear it just crossbody, but love that I have the backpack style if I want it. I wish that there was a way I could "tuck" or "pin" the backpack straps out of the way, or even remove them and just carry them for when I want them. That being said, I have found that if I am wearing it crossbody, my kids love to each hold a shoulder strap from the backpack section and pretend like I am their dog and they are walking me. (Hey, they stay close with no fights.) The zippers are crazy smooth - almost too smooth. Like they have come undone on me a few times without my knowledge. The straps are all easy to adjust, once again almost too easy. They sometimes don't hold their position. My real gripe with the bag though is the company's customer service. I contacted them about some discoloration I had on my bag. It looks like something was spilled on it and didn't get wiped up. (Most likely the clear coat finishing). I don't know if this is a normal look for the bag or not. I don't really love the look. My husband has even been walking behind me and asked what was on the bag. However, the company hasn't even bothered to reply to me. In a strong debate with myself whether to just keep the bag or return it and find something else. UPDATE: The company has since contacted me and worked very hard to make the product right. I respect a company that offers customer service and stands behind their product. It’s not an easy thing to find these days. Updated the stars!

I read so many reviews, but still was afraid this would be too big. It's not, it's perfect and I wanted to write this to help others trying to picture the size. If you have ever seen the huge pocketbooks some women have . Well this actually COULD look like that IF you filled it to the brim, however the material is very soft and flexible, so if you have the normal contents of a purse in it, it looks fine, just slightly bigger at the top. the front and back are basically collapsed together (if not filled to the brim)so it doesn't look huge. There are many pockets and lots of space with secure zippers. Zippers are at the top of each, so your contents won't fall out if you forget to zip something up. I bought the gray and it is very, very nice. I am very pleased with this bag.
