Just got these today and have used only 4 so far, but they crimped great on Cat 6 Ethernet cable with the 23 AWG solid copper wires. Since they are the "pass through" type of RJ45's, you can push all 8 wires through the connector and confirm the correct order of conductors before crimping. My crimpers do not have the built-in cutter to cut the protruding wires from the connector, so before crimping I cut them off manually with flush cutters, then pull the wires back just a hair so they do not protrude from the end of the connector at all. I discovered the hard way that on some RJ45 female jacks, that if the wires protrude from the end of the RJ45 male connector AT ALL, the connector will not snap into the jack. If was to buy a crimper tool now, I would definitely buy the type with the built-in cutter.The other super nice thing about these connectors is that the locking tab is super tough. They claim you can bend the tab way back and it will survive and still lock. I sacrificed one connector, and bent the tab back and forth as far as you can over 20 times, and it still didn't break off, so I am very impressed. Even the free stripper works well, but I limited it to just one rotation to avoid going too deep and cutting the individual conductor insulators.

Comes with a cable stripper and diagrams for Cat 5/6 wiring. Confirm wiring positioning via the end pass thru and the provided diagrams on the bottle: 99% the crimped cable will work on the first attempt. No more guessing and multiple attempts to create a working cable. Out of 30 cables created using this product all worked as except for one. Excellent product. Buy this item if you want to create a working CAT 5/6 cable without wastage and frustration. Note: the product doesn't includes an end cutter.

they work brilliantly on cat5e but the holes are too small for cat6a. I could get the wire through eventually but it was far from easy.also they should have included a cutter for the wire ends

I haven't made ethernet cables in about a decade. The pass through system is so much better. Everything is the same size automagically, it's easy to ensure cables are in the right order, and you can get everything super snug without any effort.
