Y'all, we are absolutely in love with this butter dish! It is so stinky cute and super sturdy. It does hold up to two sticks of butter at a time, but you do have to be careful about how you place them inside. We use vegan butter, so maybe it's smaller than regular butter? I say this because it seems that other people have had issues fitting two sticks inside of the dish.You would think that the butter dish would be hard to clean with all of its nooks and crannies, but it really isn't. There was enough space inside of a tail to get a washrag up there. It's super cute to see a whale sticking out of a bubble bath, in the sink. Adorableness aside, this sturdy gem would make a perfect housewarming gift. We are in love with it!!I loved how it was packaged, so carefully wrapped. It arrived safely, with no chips or scratches on it. You could tell someone really took the extra time and measures to ensure it arriving safely. Even the driver placed it down carefully. The attention to detail is so important, especially when it is so breakable.

Oh so cute! Perfect size for a stick of butter. Easy to use with whale tail as a handle. I always get compliments on it every time I bring it out:) It fits the coastal vibe without trying too hard.

Very nice piece, you must be careful not to have wet hands when picking up the top. The angle makes it difficult and slippery if hands aren't dry. Other than that, a nice piece.

The media could not be loaded. Love this! nice and large with a good sturdy heavy build. It is not made out of ceramic glass which is great.

Love this addition to our kitchen. It has survived our busy life in one kitchen and came with us during our most recent move. It’s a great accent piece and we enjoy using it just about every day!

The butter dish looks very nice, but it is larger than our previous butter dish and just barely fits into the butter compartment of our refrigerator. The dish is much bigger than necessary to accommodate a standard stick of butter.

I thought I was ordering a single butter dish, but this is actually a double. Wasn't what I wanted, but sometimes, we don't know what we want....We don't use much butter, or rather, we hadn't used much margarine in the past. After a visit to my parents house, and saw they use real butter and leave it on the table all the time, we decided we wanted to do that too. But since we weren't using much, we bought a butter dish that only holds half a stick. Ha! Once we started using real butter, we started really going through it! We couldn't keep enough butter in the dish. I was always using what was left and having to get out more while cooking. Time to upgrade the butter dish.I searched and searched on Amazon. Found one I wanted, but it was out of stock. A week later, still out of stock. (I checked today, a month later, and it's still not available!) So I finally ordered this one. Even though it's not exactly what I wanted, I couldn't be happier with it! The only time we'd actually have two whole sticks of butter in it might be during a large party. However, at least now there's room to go ahead and add a stick when the other one is down to the last 1/4, instead of having to wait until it's completely empty - and possibly having to use cold butter.There is another one on Amazon that is advertised as being a double butter dish. This one showed a picture of butter in the dish, making it look like a single capacity. So I was surprised that mine was wider than I expected. Not complaining, but I think there is an advertising issue here.
