Felix The bird detective... Felix is Made-To-Order and is available in a Silver or Gold finish Felix is made from popler that has been burnt completely black using a Japanees technique called Shou Sugi Ban and then painted. The image is revealed by ripping away the pigment, leaving the texture of the burnt wood underneath. The frame is welded 1-1/4” steel angle, with a light grinding, for a very industrial feel. As each piece of popler burns with a unique pattern, yours will be slightly different from what’s pictured, but will be both dramatic and beautiful. The piece is hung using high grade stainless steel wire, wrapped through steel bars that capture the wood into the frame. 16" x 16" inches. Weight is approx 9 lbs Hand made by me.
