First thing to keep in mind: I'm a 40 year old late blooming unicorn trapped in a woman's body. Beauty, nail care and such things I am just getting back into. I adored getting gel polish manicures, but the fact it cost 60+ dollars sometimes to get them was a bit prohibitive for me. No shame to the gents and ladies and non binary who can afford to do this at a salon, go you! But I only work part time and retail, and I needed a long lasting polish that I could afford. AIMEILI caught my attention because it was Amazon Prime and very, very affordable for both top and bottom coat. I DID have some worries, obviously I read all of the reviews here, negative and positive. Well, like anything purchased on the internet, I decided to take a chance WHILE keeping in mind all of the advice given by all the reviewers in this thread. Too Long Didn't Read Summary: Cheap, affordable, had no issues with peeling IF YOU FOLLOW suggestions in the reviews found here! PROS: -Price. You get top and base at a super affordable price. - Prime: If you have amazon prime, this gets delivered super quick, which is great if you are eager to try it! CONS: -If you are new like me, purchase this, and DON'T follow the advice given in reviews, to summarize a horrible old internet meme: you're gonna have a bad (gel experience) time. **RANDOM TIPS** Your base coat, 1st coat of polish and 2nd coat of polish WILL BE TACKY/STICKY the entire time UNTIL you put on the top coat and cure it. Do your best NOT to paint your cuticles or the sides of the skin on your nails, if you cure it to your skin, your skin moves a lot easier than your nail. It will lift away from your skin and then probably your nail. To make sure you don't have that, gel polish stays 'wet' forever if you don't cure. You can wipe this away with cotton or the alcohol whetted cotton pad (like I did) or nail polish remover for tough pigments. The base coat IS NOT WIPE FREE, only the top coat. WHAT I DID: Before even applying the base coat I: applied a cuticle oil. Pushed my cuticles up once softened 2: Wiped my nails THOROUGHLY with rubbing alchohol and a cotton PAD. Not a cotton ball because I find the pads leave less fibers. 3: Applied a very THIN coat of base coat. 4: Placed hands under my tiny portable MelodySusie LED light for 1 minute. 5: IMPORTANT! Base coat is NOT wipe free. After one minute I gently wiped the base coat with the same alcohol soaked cotton pad (if your's dries, re-wet it) 6: Applied 1 THIN coat of Gellen Gel polish in pink. 7: Placed hand under LED light for 1 minute. 8: Wipe nails with alcohol soaked cotton pad. 9: Paint 1 more coat of THIN polish (so 2 coats of polish all together with curing then wiping in between) 10: Place hand under LED lamp for 1 minute. 11: Guess what? Yep! Wiped nails one last time with alcohol soaked cotton rag. 12: Applied 1 THIN coat of AIMEILI wipe free top coat. 13: Set hand in LED light for 2 minutes. The reason I did this was to make sure my nails cured entirely, and they did. I didn't need to wipe the top coat at all, and it dried/cured beautifully. It is a LONG process that needs patience. You should have at least an hour or two set aside for yourself to do your nails and make SURE not to skip, rush, or hurry. It takes a decent amount of time for a good job at the salon, so it will at home too. So was it worth it? YES!

TLDR; Some of the Aimeili polishes are free of methacrylates, some are not. If you have allergies, make sure you only order polishes with free returns and check the ingredients as soon as you get them. I have allergic reactions to Sensationail, ibd, and Gelish polishes, so I’ve been looking for a polish that avoids all methacrylates and TPO. I am writing one review for all the polishes I’ve ordered from Aimeili in my quest for allergy free gel nails. My experience with the polishes: The quality of Aimeili polishes is great, easy to do thin coats but doesn’t flood the cuticles. Customer service answers questions about ingredients quickly. I was confused by the different labels on the actual bottles, thinking the black bar indicated allergen free, but there seems to be no correlation between label and ingredients. Not all of their polishes are methacrylate free. In fact ALL of their basecoats have isobornyl methacrylate. I’m very grateful that I can wear some of their polishes, though. Even though I can’t wear their basecoats I’m wearing 2 coats of a color polish (036) with their no-wipe top coat, without any allergic reaction. It starts chipping after 48 hours, of course, but I am looking into basecoats from Luxie Nail. I’m also going to try Orly Bonder as a base under Aimeili gels. Good base and top coat on natural nails. Base coat is thin, which I like, and cures in about 30 seconds under a mid to higher powered led light. The base coat is tacky when it cures, but doesn't move. It seemed a little more sticky than most base coats, which worried me for a second, but after two coats of polish (same brand) and top coat it was gel hard and totally cured. Top coat goes on thick, which makes it a little hard to get a nice thin layer, but once cured it does its job. It is super a glossy and works well with nail powders and the glitter polish from this brand. I haven't tried the base ot top coat with any other brand, just nail powder. I cured the topcoat for 1 minute under my LED light, but 30 seconds seems to do just fine. I didn't get much of a heat spike on any of these on my hands and only a tiny tingle on my toes. Appears to wear well if you only use one layer of Top coat. If you use two and it will peel just like other no wipe top coats. The polish has been on my main hand for over a week and it looks mostly new even after some heavy duty house chores and moving an apliance without gloves. I didn't buff the top of my nail, just cleaned with acetone and then 91% isopropyl alcohol. Note: make sure the alcohol or acetone is 100% gone or it will bubble. I have a small bubble on one nail probably from jumping the polish gun and putting on the base coat before all the nail prep had evaporated.

I purchased this product after doing a search for UV Top Coat's on Amazon. I haven't been happy with the top coats that I have been using from the Salon supply store by OPI or CND, I have gone over my application and prep method and nothing changes, I have chips within 24-72 hours. I never had that problem in the past with the products so I decided to try something new. I used a UV light by Creative Nail Design to for the light curing process with this application. Most companies don't want you to know your UV light will work to cure LED polishes and that you should buy their light but that's not the case. A UV light will cure LED polish, it will take longer but it will cure both LED and UV polishes. There are some really great articles about that on the Nails Magazine website. I went to school to be a manicurist and I keep up on my continuing education and reading material from trade magazines although I am working in another field. For my application I followed these steps: I prepped my nails as always.Pushing back the cuticles, light bugging around the cuticle area and sides then cleaned my nail beds. I applied the base coat and put my nails under my light for the highest time setting one time. I applied 2 coats of UV/LED nail polish curing in between each coat for the full setting of time. I then applied 2 coats of the top coat curing under the light for the full amount of time between each coat. After, I just grabbed some rubbing alcohol and ran it over my nails to remove the sticky residue and finish the curing process. After 5 days, I have no chips. The only issue I have with this product, and it may be with Amazon not the product is the placement of the sticker over the instructions. It'd be nice if there was a second set of printed instructions inside the box but for the price you cannot beat this set of base and top coat. I would definitely try other products by this company. Also, with many LED/UV polishes there is no smell, that's not the case with this product. There is a scent. It smells like regular nail polish. If you have issues with scents you may want to take that into consideration. It's not obnoxious and you won't be smelling it in your house or on your hands for hours. When the bottle is closed the scent doesn't linger. I paid full price for this item and am providing the review for informational purposes only. Thank you.

I recently purchased a professional UV lamp because I was sick of having to dry my nail polish in stages because my entire hand would not fit under the lamp and that it took so many times under the dryer. I previously used the Sally Hansen gel base and top coats and was very disappointed with them. I love glitter! I use it in my nail art every time, even when I promise myself that I will not use glitter this time! With the Sally Hansen version I would have to apply so many coats of the top coat just to get a smooth finish that my nails looked thick and unnatural. I had high hopes for this product, here are my thoughts: 1. The base coat apply easily to my nail, I applied and placed under the dryer for 30 seconds, applied my nail polish and placed under the dryer for another minute. It made it easy to apply my polish, made them look smooth, and did not chip or peel (I actually tried to make them chip or peel just to test) 2. Like I said before, I love glitter, but had a difficult time using too much as trying to get a smooth nail afterwards took multiple gel coats that would peel away from my nail within a day or two not to mention this thick appearance of the nail - I did not have that issue with this gel coat - after curing my nail polish color I applied a top coat and strategically applied my glitters (yes glitters I used several colors) - I then placed my nails under the dryer for 2 minutes and PERFECTION - my nails were smooth, the glitter totally incorporated, and no sticky residue afterwards that you have to wipe down with alcohol. It has not peeled or chipped and the glitter still looks blingy. I highly recommend this product for all of the reasons listed above. My nail art creativity will now have no limitations.

I love Aimeili polishes so I thought I would try their base and top coat. it went on fine looked great, the next morning I woke up and my fingers ached and my finger tips were sore. so I removed the polish from my thumb.
